This week we're looking for feedback on the single player Campaigns! Do you like them? If now, what can we do to improve them? Have any ideas on themes?

As always, please stay on topic and polite!

I don't really do campaign any more. In early ages I'd go in during peace treaties. It was good practice I guess. And it was nice getting crowns at the end. What I'd like to see is the ability to practice on other ally members bases. You could have their names on the map to choose from. Members could put up resources they would like to make available for looting. This would be a good way of sharing rss between players. Replay could be shown on a report so that both players can see what happens and learn from it. Maybe there could also be a ranking within alliance to see whose is the hardest to attack.

I like them. It is a good way to get some resources and trading goods, and also practice troops layout and strategies when you have peace treaty. Also, campaign is useful for when I need to get rid of some troops or empty tactics to rebuild them for time quest. Please add more campaigns with each new update.

I am just wondering, why BHG wants to do these single player scenes by yourselves? Is not it much easier for you to give us a level editor so every player can create their own single player levels and share with the community? It is the way to have unlimited creativity and content to offer to the players. Just imagine how many customized maps and package in starcraft and many many other games. As a basic editor, it allows map editing, defender types/number/location definition, attacker types/number definition. For further development, you can allow event triggering, unit experience gaining /upgrading system. It will be able to create so many historical battles by allowing every player to be a creator as well.

The campaigns were great for testing/practice - as others have said - during the early ages but now I'm IA they're easy - so if you're thinking of making more campaigns I would liked more challenging ones.

Having said that - can the campaigns be changed from server-based to player-based - so we can play anytime - AFTER they've been completed? AND is it possible to have a real time pause option? I think this would be helpful for players to screen-capture any bugs, glitches or AI issues which we can then forward onto the Devs.

Gunpowder age campaign: The Spanish Inquisition
Enlightenment age: The Revolutionary war (or British colonialism)
Industrial: WWI Germany
Global age: WWII The entire World (except Antarctica)
Space age: The United States of America (make it very very hard, because of their nuclear power, size, patriotism, military, and defensive funding. I know there's also Russia, but they didn't have lasers.)

I like them as well but perhaps inject some historical story lines to make them more interesting. Perhaps famous battles.

I think the current campaign is pretty disjointed and frankly uninspiring. It doesn't offer anything different from regular multiplayer and has no replay value after completion. The game would really benefit from a more engaging campaign similar to the "Conquer the World" campaign in Rise of Nations. I was surprised the developers that designed that didn't include something similar for DomiNations.

An idea for making them harder after completion..., just level every building up, double the resources, and reset the campaign. Let there be crowns again after completion.

A good idea, is a simple one, which imo is also easy to program...
This one couldnt be that hard to implement, and they may leave the crowns away.

I like Acied's suggestion. But I would also like them to be playable again as well. With each completion the base would increase in level up to 2 times for each campaign.

Then after completing a level it could be replayed but then difficulty level could also be chosen easy, medium and hard for the 3 different difficulty levels.

Also maybe suggest a timer which would limit the number of times that the player could replay the same scenario over and over. Once a scenario is replayed and completed then it becomes locked out for a day for example.

Yes, or if you reach max level, you can still play it, but it wont give you resources anymore..
