Why am I getting to choose to raid higher leveled player?

When I go to multiplayer battles I always find a Gunpowder Age Level 60 player, and I am new I am in Bronze Age. Sure you can say ignore it, there's a time limit and my phone is lags a lot and on my PC too.

I think raiding is two up and one down, but it is kind of all over the place. For example, i'm gunpowder age and have seen opponents in Global age, i'm obviously skipping them. Welcome to the game.

there arent many players in the early ages so sometimes the game, failing to find a proper opponent, will find you a much more advanced opponent.

its not necessarily a bad thing. just a few strikes of a gunpowder age resource building by a single unit can be a jackpot for an iron age player
