World War Matchmaking Changes

Player Solution: I cut my team from 25 to 20 players and the matchup is spot on. The average levels is about correct. At 25, the stacked team had a 20 point overall level advantage, even with a 5 player of super low levels stacked at the bottom. With only 20, there was just no way to easily do it. Plus the team we went against is on the up & up. The ranking of players within the team is still wrong and seems to indicate the way points are added for player builds is incorrect yet.

Being out matched and canned responses due to glory flip where the weak team loses more than the stonger team has taken us from 54 to out in 3 wars , we should have never been paired with those teams and cost us 1800 glory I hate war it was the only thing I liked about this game now that is ruined . My alliance has joined a fishing game we have spent the same we spent here , already a top team and having fun again . This game is now second to that game , no more cash for dominations , so last week we spent 12k between the whole team on ships bait and gear that 12k could have been NEXON money but none of my 4 alliances are spending anymore money on this no more pay to win no more sales for us hope others find a game they like to play with their friends Nexon has lost the concept for a game and a business it won't exist soon enough so hope everyone is looking for something else before your Atomic max with no one in Alliances game is dead to me now

this is 10vs10 if you see in the photos i have send you will see there is no way in fucking hell to win or to even get close to win, is sure loss, this new shit of the game realy is not worth going to war any more, i dont know if they will ever fix there fuck up but i am very angry about it please fix it

When they say update ,fix , patch or adjustment I say ohh **** here we go again more problems this game has become about as much fun as punching yourself in the face while watching grass grow and paint dry all while trying to pet an alligator

I agree. Maybe it just me but it seem they are moving a breakneck speeds to roll out updates. Some of those updates have given me pause on if I want to continue down this track with Nexon or if I should abort the train before it derails. If they do not do not pump the brakes here soon, it will derail and it not going tobe pretty

I'm posting a photo which shows that with the very latest updates there are still 2 problems. 1) you will see our opponents are sandbagging and the mismatch put 13 of our players at significant disadvantage and 2) the ordering rank is still not correct as you can see our laterals are whack-a-doodle out of order.
Due to the turning off of the world war replays, we are unable to show that our opponents have defenses far and away in excess of their capacity, their level superiority notwithstanding. The world war replay understandably gives away tactics used, but on the other hand exposes cheating.

Today, we had a server update, which will re-calculate Glory more appropriately for the new Matchmaking rules. The newest Glory calculations will begin with the next World War you participate in.

Thank you for being patient as we looked through the last week's worth of war data!

TinSoldier , can you confirm if the devs team is happy with matchmaking and glory split results, or they are still working on it?

rubbish rubbish and more rubbish wars. why can't you just fix it Nexon, easy or impossible ! a roll of the dice guys and a joke every time no fair wars, fighting higher teams who are restarted old ones with no glory so they are allowed to steal yours lol, :)

The biggest reason they can not fix it. And this just my oppinion. Because nothing is broken in the game. Oh sure there are bugs and glitches. But nothing is actualy broken with the war system. It was designed to find like power lvl based on an agorithum that averages out power lvl and find simmular power lvl to offer challenge. However it was not designed to count number of super high lvl and track the different ages and use resonance and logic to reconise a cheap way to win. The problem lie entirely at the feet of the cheap people with broken standards willing to accept a cheap victory over the challenge. So demanding that Nexon fix something that is in truth not broken will probably get you no where.

So what the hell is up with this extreme glory disparity since the ''fix''? Our current 20 vs 20 war is 96 to win 776 to lose. Our glory is 17800 theirs is 14100. I understand we should have more to lose, but not 8 times as as much. Considering they are actually a stronger, albeit newer team.

Since the ''fix'' we have won 8 wars for a grand total of 360 while our 2 losses have been 787. Again, we're hovering around 17500-18500, so hardly heavyweights who should be getting such spreads. I realize our stories aren't nearly as grim as some others but having one loss need 4, 10, 20 wins to balance it out is absurd no matter how high or low in the rankings a team is.

You should seriously just scrap this misguided, easily-manipulated glory system at this point and create leagues.

In the meantime you should display the esoteric numbers that make up our ''war weights'' because just comparing ages and levels shows how bad your matchmaking algorithm is. The numbers, just like a grid view in map editor, are already there. It baffles me why we can't have such information about our own bases.

We will take on higher teams any day and we do mostly, but I would expect the lower average team to win more glory for taking on a higher alliance - not 10 times less

No. It'll eventually be unstickied and shunted to the backpages with little in the way of explanations or resolutions. Just like the now apparently unpaved and rutted ''Road to Better World War Matchmaking''.

Developers... The new match making system is not working for all clan sizes. I think Our Home is a good example. I won't bother you with the numbers (perhaps you can view them yourselves) but our opponents are consistently way more advanced than us.

But on the other hand perhaps you are well aware of this and it's just part of the new way to want to organize alliances and glory ..giving us these perks in return for wars we can't possibly win...you could consider bunging us a few rubies in compensation once you have looked at our match-ups since the changes :).

We are actually a very strong, well organised and efficient alliance considering the time our guys have been playing, however there are constantly around 6 opposition bases that we don't even attempt as we don't have members who could get 1 star from them.

matches should be made by total number of levels of all combatants per team, and glory should be won like they do in poker, each team puts up the same amount. Even then there should be leagues based on the amount of glory your alliance has. Also, to combat sandbagging, any account that doesn't attack in three straight wars should be automatically be deleted from the game.

Yeah, i am not sure what changes to MM have done, but our war matchups have been really bad. The last 4 or 5 wars we average 1000+ to win, and 10 to 30 to lose. They wars end up being an absolute slaughter. I may be our fault, but I feel that is not the case unless I am missing something. Clan name is Old Guys Rule with 49 members and 14,737 glory if anyone wants to investigate.

They are simply running the servers. Not managing accounts. That why they have guild leaders... if they are not attacking and the guild leader continue to put them in. Nexon is not responsible for that

Yeah, I don't use mercs, coalitions, or tactics. The coalitions are so expensive, I would have to attack 10 times a day just to refill the goods used to buy them.

Or the obvious solution. Ignore level and match based solely on Age....It's funny how that would pretty much fix the game yet no one ever suggests it.
