You can edit your base while in war, even with the glitch. You can do it through the war screen I believe.

And what about a fix for the warbase edit layout crash? You broke it last patch and I haven't been able to edit my warbase for weeks

I didnt have any problem with that until this afternoon when new update was available,
there is the trick to get to base edit screen, you have to do it really quick just after restart

I'm just hoping this will fix the regular crashing of the game.
If it does that, I can temper myself to wait patiently for fixes to the war system (stalemates and sandbaggers) and stuff like the trap blessing.
But if the game continues to crash multiple times an hour, while doing nothing more than playing, then at this point I have to give up hope.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for now...

Alliance Gift...it's an embarrassment. If I choose to purchase credits or whatever..it's a private matter between me, Apple and yourselves. There is no way to opt out it seems. This is one reason not to buy credits. A stupid idea and as a result I will buy nothing more until there is an opt out. They get donations of troops from me by the loads.

This is a breach of privacy. They get to know the size of purchase by the size of the gift and the frequency of purchase. It's an unsafe practice.

I have reported this to Apple.

As much as I like the idea of the gifts, I realized this too. I'm not sure if it's a breach of privacy, since people only know your game name and not your real one, but it can indeed make people hesitant to buy credits. I see 2 ways to fix this: either they should make the gifts optional, or remove the name from it, so that the alliance only knows that someone purchased credits, and not who.

It is...they know your name and the frequency of purchase. In a game where they seem to have cheaters ..they are now naming legitimate folk who buy credits in an Alliance. This is wrong and causes embarrassment if you are in an Alliance.

Why i stil can't upgrade wall 9+ yet with food??
By the way, i think the walls in dominations are not enough when compared with COC.. in COC, those walls can cover buliding with 3 or 4 layers..
