Atomic age fort value?

The atomic age fort is quite expensive and requires 8 workers to upgrade. Can please someone enlighten me what would be the game value of such an investment apart from the increased hit points of the structure?

You can upgrade generals to level 50 with an atomic age fort. That's the only other benefit.

Have you seen the Atomic HP + DPS boost to Fort from previous ages? It's massive. In a world of +5% upgrades, that's a benefit in itself.

My atomic fort is one of the best air defenses I have in its limited range. Though the time and cost in oil and workers likely will bump it far down the list of priorities. I tend to trudge through all my tedious oil buildings ASAP when I hit a new age though.

Thanks a lot for your views. It is just that I can upgrade either the fort or both bunkers due to worker shortage. I guess two atomic bunkers are better than one atomic fort, especially since destroyed factories will produce higher level HTs as well.

If you have crowns, the 8 people and long build time mean this is a fantastic value per worker day to rush.
