This post is dedicated to all those who've ever said, "It's called Dominations for a reason, attacking armies are supposed to be overpowered". Please make like a tree and **** ***. Thank you.

Now...

My idea for balancing the attack and defense aspects of this game are pretty simple.
1. Remove the ability, for all units that fire in a straight line, to shoot over walls.
- This would make the British archer's +1 range seem much more balanced, IMO. (Thus, eliminating the need for a nerd)
- Additionally, this would give units like mortar and saboteur an actual purpose.
2. Allow all aircraft, that haven't been destroyed, to return home without needing to be fully rebuilt.
- Ideally, they should need repairs before returning to battle. Time and resources needed to make repairs would obviously be less than those required to construct a brand new aircraft.

I would love to hear everyone else's (except those included in this post's dedication) opinion on the matter.

Best.

i agree for shooters part, and for aircrafts at least make training blessing apply for them or even make one for them, it's hard to raid on IA bases without having aircrafts

Agreed. I would love aircraft units to be more of an army staple, less an "extra" like war tactics.

1. Rather than nerf the shooters l think walls should get auto sentry guns with motion detectors - maybe every 20th wall? Just a single gun is fine - and appropriate for the nuclear age. (Really don't want to see the shooters nerfed)
2. Pretty sure the aircraft that aren't destroyed already return to base .... and they shouldn't need repairs if the other troops don't!

I also would like to see aircraft become stronger and more prominent - and accordingly be able to be change some towers from Surface 2 surface to purely Surface 2 Air. Maybe a one time blessing that changes your towers to just hunt planes? (This could work if your walls had auto sentry guns?)

It would be nice if, in nuclear age, the game dynamic changes to an air based attack/defense rather than more of the same with a few planes thrown in (as xGraves mentioned) - but maybe this could apply only to global/nuclear bases attacking each other??! Would be unfair to be able to attack the others.

Just want say that I agree with most of this (hence me quoting most of what you wrote, haha). In regards to #2, the planes only return if all defensive building are destroyed. Again, this just seems a little silly.

I do like the tower blessing idea, actually. I've always liked the games (Starcraft, mainly) that allow you to choose which "evolution" you'd like for your buildings. For example, level 10 archer towers could remain the same, or be turned into air/ground only defenses. Air only defenses would do extra damage to planes, firing homing missiles, etc. Defenses that were built to only defend against ground troops would be unable to attack aircraft, obviously. However, they would do a significant amount more damage to ground troops. Think flame thrower towers and electric fences, etc.

Love the suggestions, R.L.

I understand that nerfing archers to not shooting over wall is to match reality. But this game is not to 100% matching the reality. Applying your suggestion will kill most fun part of the game and it also won't explain the fact that from ww1 wall is not important at all. By your suggestion wall quality will be the dominating factor in this game and it will be super boring game. I disagree.

Secondly airplane can not survive without destroying all defence is reasonable. Allowing it return as your suggested way breaks the balance and it is easy for players to exploit the hit and run trick. That should not be encouraged. So again I disagree.

I hate to be pedantic, by which I mean thank you for giving me a chance to be pedantic, but archers should be able to fire over walls if you wish to play the reality card. Arrows and to a lesser degree crossbow bolts are fired high so they "drop" to thier target. Think of any film you have seen featuring massed archers and that is how they work.

Riflemen, well no, but as a I play the brits I'm not complaining.

"From ww1 wall is not important at all" Yes it is almost right but it is not due to shooters. It is so because from that time, units like mortar, planes and bazooka were widely used and I think the game should take the same way.
