Did they just confirm 2 new nations?

From what I can make out, it's art work to denote the Cold War era.
The patch notes didn't mention about new nations, nor did the Twitch streaming session showcase such a development.

I found it strange that when asked to do a revolution in the twitch stream, they refused. Could it be that they wanted to keep the two new nations a surprise, as they would have showed up on the revolution choice screen?

In the Q&A at Reddit they denied the development of new nations, but the vídeo at Twitter is confusing, so Im thnking about 2 points:
- Its just like "skin" (like LoL skins), a costume for troops, or a changed appereance just for them in their offices
-They have been trolling us these two years and they have been creating some nations just to surprise us

Doubt they would keep 2 new nations a surprise, not their style to create no hype about a change as big as this. The only unannounced surprises we've seen so far is unit nerfs and price increases. As far as the new building, looks like a powerplant to me (but could also be a brewery). Maybe it's a more powerful version of existing powerplant to reduce airplane training time, and probably only attainable by paying players. If it was a regular CWA building, they would have announced it, like the 3 new units.

It has been a while since the Reddit Q&A, they may have worked on it sometime in the past 2-1/2 months. I'd buy skins/costumes if they were ever implemented. :)

It is not the storehouse because the storehouse is visible in the same frame as this screenshot.

Should they release a new nation it'd be the first thing they would advertise, so I don't believe any new nations will be added with CWA.

if they introduce these two nations with CWA, i will forgive & forget all cheaters in game, all game bugs, glitches, game crashes, decoy lags, all stupid responses from CS, and I will publicly apologize for any inconvenience my comments may have caused 🤣

One would assume the USA & Russia would be the two new nations, as they were the two main protagonists in this...

At this time, we do not have any plans to add new nations to the game. The trailer was cut to show the tension between the two sides during that period in history, as well as highlight the new units in DomiNations coming from those factions. Both USA and Russia have been included as Coalitions, available for use during World Wars.

We were using a development pre-release build of the game, and were unable to change nations during the livestream. As much as I'd love to bust this open as a Cold War related spy effort, that isn't the case.

I am happy to let the team know that there's still an interest in adding new nations!

Balancing the current nations is more important. What's the point of adding new nations when you can achieve the same effect by revitalizing Japanese and Greek to be actually viable for play, instead of currently being very underpowered compared to others.

You can probably add Romans to that list. Worst unique unit and their only power is tied to increasing troop numbers. Enjoy those experience upgrades from the barracks, folks!

It wouldn't even be that hard to buff Japanese and Greeks to be competitive:

- Japanese: give them a decent resource production bonus while peace treaty is active
- Greeks: change free upgrade to be percentage-based

Just that no one seems to care.

I highly agree, this is overdue.
