Hi all,

I'm proud to announce that DomiNations will be rolling in the tanks to TwitchCon this year and we'd love your support! If you're in the Long Beach area and attending the event, stop by our both (215, Hall C) and say hello! We'll have staff on hand from both Nexon and Big Huge Games, as well as tons of loot and live streams.

Feel free to follow us on our official Nexon Twitch channel here: https://go.twitch.tv/nexonmobile

If you already stream on Twitch and would like to be co-hosted on our channel, send me a PM and we'll get that set up :)

So how does this work if we can’t go? What time will you be streaming?

This has to be the biggest waste of time, dont bother watching the stream guys.

So far in the first stream, they have some streamer that doesnt play this game. She has played it in the past but really doesnt know anything about the game.

All of the talking between her and TinSoldier seemed forced and awkward.

The stream was mainly watching her hunt animals. After about 20-25 minutes she finally made a campaign attack, which she failed miserably (16% destruction 2 star from the QV on the TC.)

The 2nd time slot for Dominations was with a streamer who has never played the game. Whats funny is he mentioned it was like CoC and Tin just ignored that comment. Again they used the same bronze age account from the first stream. Again this was a waste of time.

Another waste of a stream guys, another streamer that has never played this game before. Still using that bronze account and just TinSolider trying to show these guys how to play the game.

I think maybe they are trying to attract new players to the game. Consider the audience of the convention... Twitch streamers. This is an untapped market in mobile gaming. If they could get streamers with high ratings to play the game and perhaps attract lots of new players we will benefit with an influx of new competitors. These players will not start in Atomic and really if they show all the things we do it may be overwhelming to the uninitiated. I have to admit that I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have someone more experienced playing the game in conversation with Tin Soldier. But they did try to attract people to the convention with this post and apparently no one went.

I have to say, this seems like a really bad game for real time streaming. Especially in the early ages, there just isn't that much to see.

You dont stream games like this. You dont see CoC streams and its the most popular game in the genre. You do see lots of youtubers though, because they can make videos of war attacks and what not.

-Now with that said, yes there are some streams of CoC but it doesnt even break the top 100 games for the month of october. If they really wanted to get new players, they would have top youtubers like Phonecats, Nickatnyte, Molt, ClashwithAsh, etc do videos on the game. They would also be advertising the game via the companies they use for their videos we watch and youtube/twitch ads, etc.

Even if you did want to show the beginning of the game, they could have had an experienced player show off the beginning of the game. But even then the stream wouldnt have been successful. They majority of the people watching the stream were only there because of the streamer. Hell i didnt even see the nexon channel listed in the Twitchcon channels screen. So if you didnt now about the stream you wouldnt have stumbled upon it to even discover a new game.

They were at a streamers convention so what else are they there for but to sell thier product to Steamers? They already sold it to us (the people who have advanced bases) they are trying to get new players to the game. And what better way than to have people playing it on their shows? I’ve seen DomiNations streamed... @Christopher -Outlaws! M&C DomiNations immediately comes to mind. So why not streamers on Twitch? Years ago when someone introduced me to his twitch channel (the app was new at the time) I said to him... really? People actually watch you play your video games? And you get paid for it? Games like CoD and Battlefront have benefitted greatly from being broadcast on Twitch so why not DomiNations or othe Nexon games? Mobile games have gotten quite popular and as I said there is probably an untapped market there otherwise why would Nexon invest in sending their people there to promote their games? But to be honest, I think DomiNations wasn’t hyped nearly as much as TItanFall and their new game coming out called Durango (which looks really cool btw) on the streams I watched so I don’t think it was Nexon’s true focus.

Because its not a good game to stream by example of poor CoC numbers and its by far more popular than dominations. There is a reason why games like this dont do well except for videos on youtube.

Honestly i think dominations was only there because its an IP of theirs. There wasnt a dev stream of it like TF:A. They want people playing a more stream friendly game like TF:A and not a game that is dying like this one.

What were you guys thinking with Twitch Con? You had people who didn't give a crap about this game trying to promote it! On top of that they made it worse by mentioning and promoting your competitors!

Wow your PR stunt to get new players was more of a shotgun blast into the heart of the game. RIP Dominations.

So this whole thing is about people watching people play games? If that inspires others to play the game then job well done. If it's just another version of Gogglebox, then I think we're at the end of our evolution as a species.
Really, people watching people? What have we devolved to? :(

Well you have YouTube streamers with over 2 million subscribers and people watch them playing different games. Check you tube for: Galadon, Molt, nickatnite, Chief Pat, PongTV, Powerbang, Godson... most of them playing Clash Royal- most popular mobile game ever created! Some of them have luxury to play with developer accounts just to make games more popular, off course those accounts developers gave them voluntarily... Entertaining industry is very serious business, and they have more annual income then movies industry for example...

'People watching people'
Uhhh, television shows? Movies? Theater performances?
For some older examples. Ancient Rome, gladiator battles? Ancient Greek tragedy/comedy plays?
(words derived from Greek, duh)
People watching people has been a thing since the beggining of advanced culture and civilization, interesting that you're surprised here that some people like watching others play games.
