Double the workers & half the build time?

I think there should be an option to put more workers on any build.

So for example instead of it taking four workers fourteen days to upgrade a mortar, or whatever you have the option of assigning eight & reducing the build time to seven days.

What does everyone think?

I've been saying this for a long time. I would even go so far as to say each group of workers should cost the same rss as the original. To slow down the game somewhat.

For example my barracks in Industrial cost 6,000,000 food, take four workers, and eight days. If I wanted to use 16 workers and 24,000,000 food then they should take 2 days. In the end it would still take the same amount of time to max everything, but some buildings are obviously more valuable than others. Nexon/BHG seem to have an issue with calculating percentage reductions on ongoing projects though, see the Hiawatha food skills time reduction and the training blessing. However, giving more options to the player is never a bad thing. Especially from IA and up when everything takes a week or more.

Agree with you100%. If any upgrade takes more than 1 week, you should have an option to invest more workers to shorten the time.

This is copied and paste from another post i had about the same topic. Im glad i am not the only one who thinks its a good idea :)

Worker productivity (maybe library research)
: The industrial age/ area is a time where population had increase dramatically and with that so did productivity. Understandable, adding more houses would be easy but not as creative as increasing the productivity of your workers. This research allows you to be productive with building upgrade by allowing you to double the work force and cut time in half. For example, to upgrade a building that requires 4 workers and 5 days will now take 8 workers but 2 days and 12 hours, if you choose to do so. Of course you don’t have to choose the “productive upgrade” if you don’t want to, but the option is always there granted you done the research for it.

Agree, but the games makers want us to buy Crowns, thats the business model.... pay to win! The times are intentionally long to frustrate you into buying crowns.

Well then their plan is backfiring, on me at least. $5 worth of crowns doesn't even finish one building upgrade in Industrial, so why would I buy any?

Now if I could double or quadruple stack my workers, not only would I be playing the game more to get the rss, but I'd be more tempted to purchase crowns with the knowledge that $5-10 would equal meaningful improvement.

It seems all game makers, not just Nexon, have forgotten the 'micro' part of microtransaction. There's a reason they put candy bars and sodas by the checkout lane and not caviar and champagne. I would think thousands of small impulse buys beats a handful of $100 ones, but perhaps not, given recent trends in mobile gaming.

I like it but I don't think it should be linear - double the workers and it takes 67% of the time, not 50%.

One thing that makes absolutely no sense is forest clearing time. You would think that by industrial age you would have advance tree cutting tools that would reduce the time it take to chop them trees down. Apparently those Dawn Age workers had advance technology when it came to clearing forest! :)
