the early age graphics are more visually and culturally appealing to me. i'm sad i'll never see them again.
IMO the graphics get more ugly the more upgrading you do; i liked classical age a lot and didn't want to upgrade to ugly mortars/anti-tank.
it's a longshot brainstorm idea... could we set a graphics "theme" to a certain age just for our own personal visual display?
so if i wanted to set graphics to 'midieval' my mortars would appear as catapults .. just on my screen? ballista instead of ugly anti-tank gun?
i like the more ancient look; it's a bigger deal than you might think, visually.
i've spent too much of my life looking at these graphics; it would be a quality-of-life improvement to be able to set a theme to the maximum units in an age.
this is the sort of feature that would significantly increase quality-of-life for those of us sensitive to what we're looking at.
