This seems somewhat unlikely to be able to be completed within the time?

For myself (IE lvl 160 Greek) it works out at losing then retraining 44 companion tanks a day, every day!
- I think I would have to deliberately get them killed off to do that as I typically lose only one or two.

I am raiding with 100% national troops, german infantry to raid the resources at the edge of bases and then retrain. Tanks are a little tougher to raid with, but you can use them for oil raiding with rallies.

yemen - the only troops that seem to count towards the event in my case are Companion tanks? My troop mix is 7 Companion Tanks, 30 Riflemen, 2 Motorcycle Raiders, plus 1 Commando and 8 Machine guns from the factory (+ air troops). The Riflemen don't count towards the event total.. I've now switched tactics to no longer protect the tanks with air support at all, so I lose a lot more and wait a bit for retrain.

The event only requires you to train the troops, does not actually require you to use them, so...do what majority do, set a training blessing, train them tanks, remove, retrain, and you're done!

Training troops so we can delete them. At least it gives me something to do between farming and waiting for 8 days.
This game just gets better with age!

Alliance donations work great too! Just ask your alliance to keep requesting and you will be done in no time, esp. for tanks!

20 full retrain-dismiss x 155 troops per x4 days left = 12,000 Just use a couple blessings and do it while watching a tv over the next couple days.

THAT tactic, for me, although you are absolutely right, it's not realistic cause I have a job, family, training and other everyday tasks. I just can't do 20 full retrain.
But you are correct, nevertheless....

It’s only 1200 Japanese foot soldiers for me, Gunpowder Age. That is kind of ridiculous compared to everyone else, especially considering that many people have to do this with tanks or cavalry, which are significantly more expensive, and take longer to train, than infantry or archers.

but the goal is smaller for cavalry civs. i found it pretty easy to do with my french atomic alt

In my opinion the troop chest at the end isn't worth the time and effort. I decided to just go for the two bazooka armies by doing roughly half the event.

Well, I managed to complete this and I did not dismiss a single tank.. just training blessings and a shedload of battles. Upgraded a lot of walls in the process!

Oddly the event seems to have reset as if I just started it from scratch. Step 1 and now 2 just completed, again? Not that I'm complaining, but I doubt that is the correct behaviour..

Easy event completed with ease. Although i was somewhat disappointed with the end rewards. Was hoping for substantial time discount rewards.

I"m at 4,500 german troops trained, I've been working pretty hard to get to 12,000 but this is a hard event to complete.

While running the Guns of the Sultan event, we encountered an issue where some players had lost their progress, resetting them to the start of the event with very little time remaining. In order to make up for this error, we have awarded all players who earned the first tier rewards with the final reward of 4 Veteran Troop Chests. You can find these in your inventory now.

my main received just 4 chests because i was still a couple thousand infantry short and didnt pick up any previous awards ::smiley laughing while crying::
