Main battle tanks and assault rebalance

i think main battle tanks should have a higher range (maybe 5 or 6) and splash damage in order to become usefull units.it is not possible a single rifleman to have more range than a tank!! As far as now these units (tanks and assaults) are usefull even for the natinos thatt they have it as their special unit.they have a very good hitpoint and because of that nobody uses them.u can make it avaliable units and find their place in a combo with pluralism of units

Your idea is not wrong but nexon has forced us all into using factory units. Imho, they will not change that and forced us back to barracks troops now.

As wrathchild_78 pointed out, Nexon told us to our faces that if you're in Atomic Age or higher, Barracks troops are obsolete and we should use Factory troops. They said this in November's Twitch.

and if you’re global and lower, you dont want the tanks to have too much range because they’re supposed to be in the front drawing enemy fire, not hiding behind your howitzers and shooters

If anything machine guns need 4-5 range so they don't get 1 shot by anti-tank guns. And if tanks had 5 range they couldn't be killed by anything unless you extend the range of anti tank guns too imo.
It would be interesting to see mitra ( ranged infantry) at 4 range, tanks at 5 range, howitzers at 6-7 range. But every component of the game has been designed and adapted by the players at the current tank range. A change like this would completely change the game.

To be fair, heavy cavalry (regular tanks) has never been a good option at any age -- the re-balance did not change this fact. Cannons+Shooters has always been the better option with the idea of killing stuff before it can kill you. The only tanky (high HP) stuff needed are mercenaries (giant elephants -> flammpanzers -> tank destroyers) and decoy for IA+; and generals. That's all for war, for multiplayer it's also not needed. Sure the re-balance made multiplayer more difficult (especially for ages before IA) but still, heavy cavalry has always been a poor option.

It isn't. I agree BUT those are the rules now, and we either adapt or become farmers
