May I suggest a simple AI rule?

BGH guys, will you eventually implement this simple AI rule: when a unit is getting hit by a defensive building/troop, attacking unit switch to this target? It's frustrating to see riflemen, artilleries or machinegun being decimated by a mortar, tower or redoubt in their range while they focus on level 4 farm or useless (and HP heavy) vault...

I don't understand the complaint to improve the troop AI.

Defense is already massively under powered. For balance, we need a bump in defense or a nerf in offense.

If you don't like the behavior because it's "stupid" there are plenty of other things to complain about being stupid. It's stupid that a catapult doesn't kill your troops. It's stupid that a cannon/archer never misses. It's stupid the only way to blow up a wall is to commit suicide.

Ultimately it comes down to game play. Attacking is already easy enough. If the troops were any smarter, what is there to do when attacking?

We don't expect troops to be smart, we expect them not to be dead stupid.

Brian, it depends how high are your expectations. I personally never recognized a 1-2 star victory is a real victory. I aim each battle for a 4-5 stars win. 100% clean up. In that light, defense are not under powered by any measure and a proper AI is welcomed.
