No stars / No loot

How about a blessing ( or a change to the base play mechanics ) that doesn’t reward an attacker with the loot they garnered during an attack unless they get at least one star?

Another idea deal would be to reward the defender with X% of the attacker’s Oil, Gold and Food if the attacker fails to get any stars...

It's already not easy to get the huge amount of oil needed to upgrade buildings which cost over 250k oil ...

So what you saying is this, If I hit your base and fail I should lose 2 Heavy Tanks, 4 Planes AND some oil from my base? Why?
I agree with Kaiser Shag om this topic

haha i get the sentiment but if you attack with 2 HTs 4 planes and any kind of normal barracks troops and cant get at least 1 star i dont think you are doing it right. :)

I dont like the proposed idea though either. Would make raiders obsolete and medal dropping a painful and fruitless chore. Only benifit from medal dropping now is being able to steal from all the peripheral farms caravans and oil rigs.

Interesting responses. I have no issues with someone who attacks my base getting some of my resources, but it is frustrating if I am saving oil for a big ticket item and get nailed by two or three raiders targeting my resources with no intent on defeating my base. No stars doesn’t result in a peace treaty and some of us have full time jobs where we can’t get on for 10 hour blocks of time, so we endure multiple ( I have had up to 4 no-star attacks during the 10 hour period) raiding attacks, add to this the loss of the expedition secondary rewards (1 day peace treaties) which makes it difficult to save forming ticket sales items.

Yeah. We all go through it. It gets better though as your base gets stronger

options:

1. raise your medal count and you will rarely see those raiders

2-1. design your base so that it is as easy as possible to destroy. full attackers will hit you before raiders do, and give you peace treaties.

2-2. design your base so that it is 100% devoted to stopping raiders, with no consideration for defending against full attacks. if you choose to design your base to defend against full attacks, you cant really complain about failing to defend against raiders.

3. keep and develop armour artifacts that weaken enemy raiders and jewelry artifacts that return loot stolen from you.

There's no base that can always defend both full attacks and raider attacks, despite what anyone says. (or as pckrn said)
I suggest you concentrate on a strong base that defends your oil (if oil is your concern) and leave some food/gold available for easy snipes. Most people will be happy with a quick 300-400k snipe and peripheral oil. Only someone hungry for oil will go after yours. This is what I did and my oil snipes went down by 90%.
Otherwise just spend the crowns for a PT, you cheapskate. :D

ps: if you don't already have it, get a silo.
