Oil Shipments are a joke

Just some random griping, I'm sure it will come of nothing, but still interesting to see just how out of touch nexon is...

I love the helptext that says "Want to fill your oil storage quickly? Purchase oil shipments from your refinery!".

Well, let's see, a max oil storage give you an average of 130 oil for 2 diamonds in a shipment. That means it will cost 3260 diamonds to purchase the required 1630 shipments. How is that consistent with any interpretation of the word, "quickly?" Such a ripoff. Also, why are there 2 oil storage upgrades in global age, but the oil shipment size doesn't increase at all? Makes no sense. What can a global age player buy with 130 oil? Nothing.

The oil blessing is a much better route if you want to get some extra oil. For 1 diamond and 6 leather, assuming max global age oil wells, it will net you an extra 544 oil over the 9 hour blessing duration, assuming you don't lose any to raids. That's still not much, but better than nothing.

We really need more oil in the economy. It's very rare to find any base that gives more than 1500 oil, and attacking global age bases usually costs more than that in troops.

I don't agree with much of anything you post, but on this we are on the same page. In CoC their dark elixir is the third resource and it's also rare, but not as rare as oil in Domi. Even if we double the current output of oil I think it may be less than the output of dark elixir in CoC. Not sure why nexon insists on making it so rare, maybe they think it creates a more competitive environment that requires more raiding. Which I don't mind, but I think this is crossing into being a lot more frustrating even for very active players.

Yes, but one big difference in DN vs CoC is that your army remains if you destroy all defensive buildings. That means in a perfect world, you don't spend as much oil on troops as you do in CoC. But the dark elixir rewards and the generation of it is also much greater in CoC, negating this effect.

I'm hoping to fill my base with drums in the hope that they'll tide me over when the world finally runs out of fossil fuel circa Space Age ..... but by then the primary propulsion unit will no doubt be something like dilithium crystals .....

PS: maybe we can expect a ''dilithium mine'' event in the Space Age - this being the prize for shooting down as many starships or Romulan warbirds as you can .....

This is actually not the only text that is heavily misinterpreted/translated... They should really work on the wording - or the rewards they offer...
When I open a 'gigantic' gold pile, I assume 'gigantic' rewards for it... but you guessed it: bummer...

The only 'gigantic' thing here is the amount of misleading description of those things...

not agreeing that it is a joke but I am agreeing that no improvements made to the shipment size was and is a joke. even if it cost 3 diamonds or 4 .. we should have seen bigger barrels

Umm am I the only on who ignores whatever adjective Nexon chooses to describe stuff? I just use these shipments and piles if I need a little extra to get me to the amount I need. It's kind like digging down to the bottom of your purse for that little extra coins you need to cover the sales tax. If it's between waiting another 45 min to send out another raiding party because my training blessing ran out, crowning it or opening a chest I sure am glad to have a little chest called gigantic.

Support!

Oil itself is a challenge, but yes if u purchase shipments it should be more than what's given out (130).

The shipments rewards are pathetic. But it's better to have scraps than none. The food and gold (not that we need those) are laughable even in medieval age. At least oil has got some use.
