I think you'll really like my strategy here. It mixes what I'm currently working on with resource protection. My current base layout consists having two storages inside my walls along with defensive buildings. There are two key features of this design. 1. Defensive Strategy 2. Focused Resource Protection 1. Defensive Strategy The Acropolis is placed in a manner that all Garissons(lvl 4) benefit from it. I have three Towers (lvl 4) on the south, west, and east corners. Catapult (soon lvl 2) is placed in the center slightly on the south side. I also have double layered walls on the south, west and east side, and upgraded my single layered walls first. 2. Focused Resource Protection. I have enough space for two storage inside the walls. Why only two? i have set priorities to what my current goals are. These priorities are divided into 2 categories. Category 1 is are priority upgrades that require Gold to upgrade, Category 2 require Food to Upgrade. 1. Food Upgrades Mills Defensive buildings (to include walls) Farms and roads Town Center 2. Gold Upgrades Markets Blacksmith Troop Producers These priorities are set in order. For example. Right now, as I have Blacksmith upgrading I can focus on Defensive buildings, which require gold. I am currently upgrading walls. These upgrades are instant, so I don't need to gaurd my gold as I'm using it instantly. I spend my gold until my markets are empty. So they will usually be empty, which is why they're outside my walls. Meanwhile, I'm saving up food for other upgrades, and need to gaurd them, so they're inside my walls. So if anyone attacks me, they can go for my 500 potable gold, while my food is safe inside the walls, with much defensive support. Let me know what yall think of my design. If you guys like it maybe I'll post some of my other tactics and strategies.

I really like this one. Couple of small changes I'd make - move the gates into internal walls - gates not connected are just walked through by defenders (NB: gate next to gate is also walked straight through, so always have a wall piece inbetween. I'd use the extra bits (and those 2 on the outside on any join between 2 sections, reducing chance to get into 2 sections at once.

This one is really good, and I'm thinking of a redesign if I ever want to protect my TC (which at present I do not)

I'm not much of a fan of this base design, it seems to do almost very little other than protect stored food and make total destruction unpalatable.

If I were attacking this base I would first drop around 3 melee infantry units on the west side of your town center. If placed correctly, they will go down your line of farms, destroying all of them without triggering your garrison or your catapult. When these units are on the second to last farm (depending a bit upon how many resources your farms have uncollected), I would drop about 5 soldiers just east of your eastern market. These units should make short work of the market, and have it destroyed before your garrison troops have even spawned. After it is destroyed, I would immediately rally on the second market. Your garrison troops will make it out to my soldiers before it is destroyed, but will not kill my units in time to save it. If you have any road gold I might go ahead and drop a cavalry raider for that and he can collect it unimpeded.

At this point, I would be comfortable ending the battle.

I would have lost a grand total of 8 melee infantry units and maybe a raider. I can rebuild that in the time that this raid took.

You will have lost almost all of your lootable gold, whatever food is lootable from your farms, and some medals.

This is the type of base I like to attack .

For some improvement that does not require a complete re-design, I would swap the southmost archery tower for the northmost garrison.

I took your advise on that small change and moved my tower. It's been working pretty good for me actually. Thank you.

Sorry - should have made it clearer - Yours is the one I like. Granola's one is much too open, and I do not like double walls - In my experience they are a waste.
