Same War matchup 2x in a row

We just finished a war vs a clan and got a resounding win. Immediately we searched for next war and got matched with the same alliance again. Anyone else have this happen? There should be something in the game stopping this.

Yeah happens occasionally.

Happens more frequently the higher age and higher member war (35-45). As the pool of alliances becomes much smaller in more advanced ages, or the fact that many fewer alliances do 40+ member wars, you start seeing the same teams over and over again

Same here, 10 hour wait for a 40 player war to get the same opponent...what's the best number of participants to find a quick ww?

We had that happen once but IIRC there was 2 wars between the match up.

We've gone against an alliance four times in a row, as well. First time beating on them. Second time beating on them even more. Third time was closer than the previous two. The fourth time was within 5 or 6. And we improved our own scores every single time, too.

Good luck. 97/125 is still nearly 80% of your stars. If they increase 10% and you remain the same, it makes it tighter.
