@Tin & team, MRLs - were they beefed up? are the stats correct now?

Hey guys! I'm still getting my head around your latest patches and updates. It seems to me that your changes heavily favor defensive play, with strong bases easily able to defeat opponents who aren't willing (or able) to splash serious cash.

That suits me fine because I don't have time to chase 5*s for NTGs right now. So I'm just repeat looting with fast-build raider/engineer armies, to save up oil for research. I don't seem to get attacked much, even in WW. Although I have noticed that the few WW attackers that try, seem to get a very messy nose from full frontal attacks. Even with 8 elephant armies. So a genuine thanks for massively weakening the impact of EAs on WW. That needed to be done.

My question is on MRLs. I kinda asked this months ago, well before the last update, and your CS guys explained that the description text for MRL's was wrong.

Currently my MRL Mk1s show:

Hitpoints - 1,924
Damage per rocket - 1,452
Rockets per attack - 10
Attack speed - 5s
Range - 5
Training cost - 600

Taken at face value, that suggests MRLs now have 14,520 damage per attack (10 rockets x 1,452 damage per rocket). Although since an MRL can only attack every 5 seconds, divide by 5 to get damage per second, ie. 2,904 dps, which puts an MRL's attack strength about the same as a weaker heavy tank (which feels reasonable).

Is the MRL description text still wrong? Or do they genuinely attack with about 2,904 dps now...??

The stats on MRLs have always been wrong and inconsistent. If you look at the unit in the factory vs the armory, the stats are shown differently, and comparing them makes it fairly easy to see where the game developers messed up.

In both places, the HP is 2116 and range 5.

In the factory, it shows 1610 damage per rocket, 10 rockets, attack speed of 6 seconds. 16,100 damage per attack, and 2,683 damage per second. But in the armory, it just shows a straight dps number of 268. 1/10 of the total we would expect from the unit description in the factory.

It seems clear to me that the 1610 damage per ROCKET should actually read 1610 damage per VOLLEY - each rocket gets 1/10 of the total damage, and all 10 add up to the listed damage.

This makes the unit stupidly weak and pointless, exactly as we find it in the game, rather than really cool and very effective as many of us anticipated when we saw the initial stats. The fact they haven't fixed this yet after many people have pointed it out is just another example of the way the users appear to understand the game better than the developers.

Yup, you're right. I hadn't noticed that. The MRL stats are completely different in the Armory and the Factory...

I guess they've been too busy to fix this, with all the other sales and upgrades going on... but it would be nice if TinSoldier verified which is correct...

If the Armory stats are correct, then I'm not seeing the attraction of spending 600 oil for an MRL versus 885 food for a basic veteran rifleman...

MRL Mk1 (stats in the Armory)
HP 1,924
DPS 268
Range 5
Training cost 600 oil
Train time 10mins to 12 mins 30 sec (unclear which is correct)

Veteran Rifleman
HP 533
DPS 282 vs Defenders
Range 4
Training cost 885 food
Train time 40 seconds

Or am I missing some hidden attraction that makes an MRL worth 600 oil...???

test them vs buildings in chalenge give a number much more than that. My max German MRL 2 get a shot about 7500-8000 damage per volley, presume 5.4 second for each volley.
