First, open a thread where you announce that you give 5-500 crowns for every exploit/cheat reported (with description how to reproduce it) depending on its magnitude and write an in game message saying this too
then, give two of your employees a day to go through top 500 players looking for anomalies or max bases and check the donation history of those bases
then make a search tool to flag players with over 15000 crowns or all achievements completed or maxed resources (i havent reached IA so i can't give exact number here)
finally implement a system that prevents players from being 24 hours a day online for example set a limit of hours per day and a penalty if this limit is violated

People report cheaters for no crowns all the time; nexon/bhg wouldn't want to start paying players to continue to do this (crowns = $). Mods have also indicated they already do check the top players.

I didnt made that part clear, i ment to report exploits with detailed explanation how to reproduce it so it can be fixed

Well checking them is not enough, all legit players check en report all the time, the problem is, they dont deal with cheaters as they should, wich is a big bloody shame.

That may be so, and I'm not arguing that point. Simply saying that, regardless of what we should report to CS in terms of cheating or exploits, and no matter the details, this is something players already do for free and there's no way players will start being paid for it. First, because we do it for free, second because then players could potentially abuse this system then demand payment anyway (e.g., by reporting an exploit which either turns out isn't one or has been reported multiple times already- in either case a player can say, 'well I didn't know, but I did report it, so pay me'). In terms of 'checking' players, this likely is 'investigating' them. You or I may say that because a player is left active then a thorough enough investigation was not done, because we believe the player is a cheater (and therefore must be one) and they were not removed. More likely is that there is a more complicated situation at play there, which we as players are not made privy to, and that perhaps we don't either fully grasp the legitimacy of some players, or that there is something more complex about certain cases where there isn't an easy fix.

Cheating is an issue and it should be dealt with. But there isn't going to be some kind of announcement saying 'we're implementing A, B, and C to ban cheaters' (that only serves to say, 'ok cheaters, now hack A, B, and C, specifically'). Users providing ideas on solutions is great- maybe devs haven't tried a certain idea, and maybe it will work. I'm just saying paying players to report won't be done, and that there has been an acknowledgement that top players are monitored (whether it's to our satisfaction or not).

It all comes to the desire of the developers to deal with the problem i just make a quick post with several solutions that i beleave all can help greatly, players can say whatever they want but it will only work if staff is honest enough to give a reward to those that deserve it and punish those that try to break the rules

BTW i expect someone from nexon or big huge to share an oppinion on this subject, after all i wrote this mainly for them

I expect there are complex reasons why they can't stamp out cheating completely and they'll deal with some anomalies but I do wonder if they feel to a certain extent it brings them more money by keeping legit players on their toes, buying crowns to upgrade walls and improve defenses to try and stop the people cheating beating their base. At the end of the day, if players bought the starter pack and bought some crowns then they've served their purpose, so players can choose to quit the game but someone new will start playing the game, buy the starter pack and end up where the previous players were when they quit and by the time the cycle ends the game has run its course anyway.

I get the feeling that if they deleted all the cheats there would be a flurry of complaints along the lines of 'Opponent not found' from 800 medals upwards - us forum folk would be fighting each other.

Yes, 'allegedly', the mods admission that leaderboards are monitored means they allegedly monitor the leaderboards, as I've repeated multiple times in this post.

The fact remains, each time we repeat 'check top players', mods can just say back 'we already said we do that'. Except that they're actually not repeating it because, as I see, they'd say the same thing a million times to only have the same repeated back to them.

Again, I shall clarify, I was simply pointing out that the mods have said they check the top players (even if they don't, they said they do).

I've reported close to 1,200 OBVIOUS cheat accounts. Nobody gets banned. We have a player in our alliance who jumped 80 levels in a few minutes, has admitted to cheating and encourages others to cheat. He has been reported to Nexon at least 12 times that I know of and he has not been banned. I've talked to him personally and at this point he doesn't care if they ban him. He taunts everyone and says go ahead, ban me, I'll be back with another level 150 account tomorrow. Here in lies the issue. NOTHING is being done to combat the hacks and cheats! If anything is being done (I don't believe it is) then the lack of detection or proactively pursuing the matter by Nexon/BHG has only served to foster, encourage and embolden the cheats. When we have people on our own alliance chat bragging about how easy it is to cheat and encouraging others to do it. And Nexon refuses to ban them, it tells me just how broken the system really is.

They have added a system that asks for a verification code to be entered, to prove that you are human every now and then, so the last point of my 1st post here they solved with a better approach than i proposed i would say

I wonder if the phones themselves can help??! I've seen some tips on how to hack/root/ your android phone but there seems to be an abundance of ways to hack or root your iphone. If iphones are so bloody fantastic and they're so fool proof how come it's so easy for the average person to get root access for the worlds best phone??! I mean, shouldn't this level of access into your phone only be available for tech weenies or computer designers or such??

Unless of course we're breeding a whole new generation of tech geeks in which case just forget everything I (this old man) just said ...
