I mean, they just had a $364 space suit afterall. Hell, it may have been even more. I haven't logged in for two weeks, so for all I know I missed out on the Gemini trousers. Of course, the people who would actually pay that kind of money for digital content in a declining game already maxed their museums ages ago. So who exactly are these ''sales'' supposed to be for. The rebalance made things infinitely more difficult for newbies, the times are as long today as they were on day one and the paltry amount of speedups hardly make a dent.
Which is a roundabout way of saying that their narrow focus on super whales and ongoing efforts to discourage new players and non-paying veterans alike probably precludes them from charging reasonable prices for anything. It seems that they're intent on doubling down with the more dollars than sense option. Most businesses, particularly games, would rather makes tens from millions, this game chose to make thousands from thousands. So much so that tens from millions is no longer possible. These insane prices are the long term result of that.
