from customer service :

Greetings,

Thank you for keeping in touch with us. In regards to your inquiry, As we've stated to you in a previous response that the description of the Allied Forces in the Parliament means that the Capacity of how much Troops you are able to donate to your fellow Alliance Members will increase. It does not increase the amount of the Alliance Troop Limit that you are inquiring about.

I hope this clarifies your inquiry.

Regards,

That is exactly what I expected. It is what is says. Your “Donation” limit increases. Not capacity.

Other CS responses said different; they said that it does apply to the total Alliance Gate size (i.e., total amount we can receive).

They (BHG; TheWise) should officially clarify this as most alliances plan to reach it ASAP... and would be demoralized to receive an unexpected result.

TheWise please offer clarity. This Parlament building allows us to donate more or to receive more?
Thank you.

They have changed the German translation. It is the amount of troops you can be sent, if I retranslate it into English again. So the initial statement of this topic is correct. It’s not the amount of troops which can be received.

for now, each player can spend 20 single troops. With this research, you can spend max. 30 single troops.

Where is there a limit anywhere in the game to the number of troops a player can DONATE? The only limit I've ever seen is the alliance gate capacity, which limits the donations you can hold from other players.

You can only donate 20 units (units, not total space); I think previously (a year or two ago) the limit was 6. Anyways, try donating 21 infantry to someone and you'll see :)

I don't see this as a smoking gun; translators often don't know the contents well and simply translate text. The English version is unclear, and as such, the translation will be too.

TheWise would you be able to find someone to clarify this once and for all? We've gotten two conflicting responses from customer service so far. Kind of determines which research pathway we pursue...

Yes please let us hope it is received troops. No one was complaining after the jump from 6 to 20. 20 seems fine (because players still want troops of their own to play with).

The English language must have changed since I went to school. These all mean the same thing!
''the Capacity of how much Troops you are able to donate to your fellow Alliance Members''
''Your Donation limit increases''
''for now, each player can spend 20 single troops. With this research, you can spend max. 30 single troops''

The amount of troops you can donate to others when they request.

King crimson, I think they stopped teaching English. It was never confusing to me.

increased donation limit is not increased capacity of the gate.

Capacity = number of troops in the Alliance Gate
Donation = number of troops you can give to a single player per request.

If you compare to the verbiage under Salle Ride for Alliance gate troop CAPACITY.

If they were increasing the number of troops a gate could hold they would have used the same word. Capacity.

But I am an Engineer. What do I know?

The alliance gate mentions “Alliance Troop Limit“. In my case 62. I deliberately used the words used in game to avoid confusion.

MY QUESTION:

Most of our players, have this question though....is the alliance gate capacity raised by 10 (so, for a non French DA it would become 66) or is it the number of troops you can donate raised by 10 (now it's 20)?

I have seen CS and VIP responses totally contradict one another.

ANSWER:

Here is the answer, we are updating the text in our next release to better explain this. “The Allied Forces Law in the “Ally Relations” branch increases the Alliance Gate donated troop capacity and not the amount of Troops each member can donate.”

Nice that you share this, but still a contradiction to what I cited from cs. So what is true? And still ambiguous (it is not what is donated but what is received).
In the description of the alliance gate it is worded as “Alliance Troop Limit”. Is that increased?

Thank you for the clarification, but if that's the case, then this is a fairly worthless research to do. Who cares if I can donate five more infantry? I never donate twenty to one person in the first place. People in our alliance ask for, and get, tanks, cannons, bazookas, and other powerful units that take up many slots, and even if I did hit the cap of 20, someone else would donate the remainder to that recipient.

Tthe person who gave this answer is higher in hierarchy. If I have to believe someone, I believe VIP answer. And it is crystal clear if you ask me.
