I've noticed it's taking a lot more sorties with maxed supersonic fighters Mk6 to take down buildings now. That means more losses, which means less raiding.

Nice job, Nexon. Really great. So glad you made these changes that no one needed and no one asked for.

there is a thing called troop tactics. thats where the cash makes the difference, not the instant upgrades.

cash deciding the battle has been fortified with this patch, not deterred.

erm..i meant instant upgrading those research in library and university..troop tactics dont make much difference in the long term unless u buy them for every battle..because if ur weak for ur age u may need troop tactics just to land a star on the opponent..in which case might as well spend those cash/crowns on permanent upgrades like university/library technologies

Does that actually work? I feel awkward about just tanking my medal count when I Worked so hard to get to over 2000 medals, plus then all my daily and victory chest rewards will become trash

It is always the combination of how much damage a building does, and how long it takes to move through the area and get rid of the building that matters. Adding another two seconds to clear buildings in the way is another two seconds for tank depots to spawn and for mortars to fire. Might not be a HUGE change, but it matters quite significantly at the margin. Which already says that a top base is nearly impossible to clear without troop cards.

all those rushed bases are going to get clobbered.. I hate rushed bases so I look forward to this. I'm also Japanese and have all kinds of defensive wonders. AND I still have absolutely no issue 5 starring bases for my level

Oh you mean 5*ing IA bases with medieval age defenses?

The reality is that, I maximed the defenses. and I still see an abomination that a global player level 140 (more than anything British) can easily defeat a global player 195 with defenses maxed.

Stage 1. It was not successful, we do not notice a rebalancing between defense and attack. We played the same rivals as a month ago, with bases without improving 1 defense, and the result in war is the same.

Yes we will I’m so happy to attack someone and have my forces decimated. That half hour a plane is grate. I’m so glad they made me stop playing I was on this game wat to much any way. Now I will have no problems finding other things to do while my troops rebuild.

If this was the fun step to keep things challenging I hate to see the bad part.

Xabar - good to know things don't feel drastically different after your World War. the goal is to nudge things in a slightly different direction, not change everything to a point where it is no longer recognizable. The team is taking some time this week to review the results of many of the wars and battles that are actively happening, before we change anything else just yet. We'd be happy to see everyone's thoughts now that the Library and University changes have been in play for a few days.

We have noticed that the bases are more tougher to beat after the update. They just have some more resistance. Our no1 (AA 214) however is finding it more difficult to 5* now without deploying a full army.
So I would say that for 90% of our team members, the upgrade didn't do much difference. But this is only after one week and people will invest in lib/uni research now...

What is planned for Stage 2 ?

CLEARLY, YOU HAVE TO MAKE THE CHANGES OF ONE, EVALUATING THE IMPACT OF EACH CHANGE INDIVIDUALLY; TO BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND WHAT  IS REALLY GENERATING THE UNBALANCE. IT IS METODICALLY CORRECT (OR FIND A GOOD BAYESIAN PREDICTOR GUY, JUST KIDING)
IN THE CASE OF LIBRARY, MANY PLAYERS WHO THOUGHT NOT TO MAKE THOSE IMPROVEMENTS, COMMITTED TO INVESTIGATE AFTER THE FIRST STAGE BEGINS. SO THE RESULT WILL NOT BE SOO CLEAR.

THERE IS A PLANTY OF THINGS THAT WARE ASKED IN THE TWICH, BUT I DO NOT HAVE AN ANSWER, WITH RESPECT TO THE BALANCING:
-THERE IS A REBALANCE STAGE OF ATTACK POINTS AND POINTS OF LIFE OF BUILDINGS AND TROOPS. FOR EXAMPLE, BRITANICS ONLY USE AND IMPROVE SHOOTERS, RANGE SIDGE AND MINERS
-THE UNIVERSITY CONTINUES SUB-VALUED FOR THE TIME / CITIZEN THAT REQUIRES. MUST HAVE A SECOND STAGE OF UNIVERSITY ADJUSTMENT.
- THERE WILL BE AN STAGE OF ADJUSTING AND ADDING SECONDARY PEACKS AMONG THE DIFFERENT NATIONS, SO THAT ALL THE PLAYERS ARE NOT ALL GERMANY (COLD WAR) AND GREAT BRITAIN (ATOMIC, GLOBAL)
- PENALTY FOR HAVING INACTIVE ACCOUNTS, OR THAT ARE NOT ATTACKED IN WAR. MANY ALLIANCES MAKE THIS JUST TO BE ABLE TO AGAINST OPPONENTS MORE WEAK (WHAT IS HARMFUL FOR THE WEAKEST). THE FAMOUS SAND BAGS. IF EVERY ATTACK DID NOT BE DONE BY DECONTANDO 1 STAR, I THINK THAT THE WARS WOULD LEVEL A LOT. IN ADDITION, ALLIANCES WITH EXPERIENCE WILL RECEIVE NEW PLAYERS AS THEY WILL HELP MUTUALLY TO IMPROVE THEIR PERFORMANCE IN THE WARS.
-IT'S NECESARY TO INCREASE THE MINIMUM LEVEL IN WHICH THE PLAYER CAN CHAGE OF AGE. BECAUSE IMPROVING THE OFFENSIVE IS MORE EASY THAN IMPROVING THE DEFENSE, THE GAME IS FULL OF ATOMIC LEVEL LEVEL PLAYERS 165 THAT ARRIVED IN 1 YEAR AT THAT LEVEL, AND CAN DEFEAT AT LEVEL 225 WHICH INVERTED 2 YEARS IN THE GAME IMPROVING THEIR DEFENSES AND IN THE UNIVERSITY.
