IMHO less people play the game later ages simply because after a while it's boring - raid, upgrade, occasional wars with issues, event's are all the same, etc.

BUT WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT IS NOT P2W BUT LACK OF SOCIAL FEATURES IN DOMINATIONS !!!
There are thousands of games like this - how new players can know about this one?

You want more new players? Add new social features like they have in other games: Boom Beach, CoC, Empires And Allies, etc.

-even chat as one of the main social features is broken in Dominations - compare it to Empires And Allies chat and it's like fire and ice,
-invite new players to the game, share on facebook, etc for free gifts,
-let old players (like me) with full storages donate my resources to new players - for me 1 mil food/gold is nothing and for new players is everything (once again Empires And Allies),
-with each new age we should get new social feature (ie. multiplayer campaigns),
-wars are broken, P2W, rushed players, not worth playing, etc - simply give us different alliance option like operations in Boom Beach,
-new ages? - F..k it !!! They all will be the same with different graphics.

To simply put if the game is dying (I hope is not) it's because BHG focus on new units/graphics and lack of truly new features (social features are the most important nowadays).
They have too many graphic people and too little programmers which probably already are making some new game... ;)

I wholeheartedly endorse this. Giving something back to newer members doesn't only increase social interaction but it helps established players give something back to the community. It even helps members who just want to get rid of resources.
Speaking for myself, I am happy to help newer members, even people from other alliances, with free stuff.
But I suspect if that happens people will have less reason to raid, or buy, or crown, etc. Nexon might have a problem with OUR generosity.

Giving resources to newer players will rise generation of players who don't know a damn about real farming in the game. And when they rise to levels where have to farm on their own they will be crushed by the game complexity.

Being said newer players have already huge advantage of donated global/atomic troops. I believe single tank can destroy medieval base on its own.
