It is time to reduce Armory Item's Upgrade time

Currently, it take 3000 days to complete all upgrades in Armory. even if you start from first of the game release, with second slot purchased in Apr 2017. you will still need another 1600 days or more thane 2 years to complete all items

Let's look into details breakdown

We can see 75% of upgrade work is come from global or later, and 45% is come from generals' upgrade.

There are some option to reduce upgrade time
1. Reduce General's upgrade time, Generals' upgrade is mainly for resource sink, expensive and useless.
I will say it should reduce to 1 day for each update
In that case, it will reduce about 900 days of upgrade time

2. One more Upgrade Slot
Currently, Players will only upgrade a limit set of troop, ie Range, Siege, but skipped those "bad" troops like machine gun / Destroyer

one more slot will encourage player to upgrade those under used troops

I don't disagree with you that it should be shortened. But given that you can get away with upgrading only a few key units, tactics and coalitions and still have a strong offense, this isn't really the critical path for most players upgrading ages.

I would certainly take it, and would especially like to see fewer airplane upgrades per age (and get rid of the stupid double upgrade in industrial). But shortening things that take worker time would be a higher priority.

Not really fair to include generals which is half of your calculation. They're not meant to be easily maxed out by everyone. Other than generals my armory is basically maxed so it's definitely doable.

There is a long list of item need to reduce time

I do agree General's upgrade time is not urgently need to be adjusted, but I believe among all other item in wish list, it will be the easiest one to archive

Unless you are a completionist, you don't really need to upgrade everything in armory. Picking and choosing your areas of focus is kind of the point in a game like this. For example, I have completely ignored bombers and transports, but I have maxed planes. Mortars, raiders, and even tanks can also be ignored depending on your play style.

i almost thought this was just a parody to the university thread: calling for reduction of things not meant to be completed easily, of things no one really needs to complete fully, of things reduced once already (thru 2nd slot/hiawamansa), its the same thing again :D

But it's nothing compare to university and soon museum... which imho will take 10 years and 20 workers non-stop to fully upgrade, not to mention the need for all resources ;)

So you can easily imagine that Ark of the Covenant in museum will require:
-100 timber, 100 scrolls, 100 metal, 100 diamonds - to build it
-20 mil gold - God loves gold
-20 mil food - workers building the Ark must eat
-10 workers per 1 stage - obviously ;)
-and 10 stages from 10 days to 30 days per stage like in university to build an Ark.
And of course 1 Indiana Jones.

Well, here’s hoping the museum is a one off building and only the items inside need a one off payment of resources to obtain.
Though I won’t bet my house on it.

Yeah only upgrade what you use the most. In which case for to hell with wall breakers and raiders. In fact on my alt Im not researching those one single bit.

For aircraft you just need fighter cuz nobody uses bomber or transport except noobs.

Coalitions Toa is worthless in late game when you get russians. However Im pushing all coalitions to max just to have choices when ntgs are short in one area
