I noticed when trying to look for a topic to this I didn't find much so I made this.
The events for discounts on resources are good and all but as of each age the time required goes up. I suggest that events also have a reduce in time so it may be easier to get some buildings done quicker if not a few more each event. Only getting buildings when the event is on for that certain building will get that time reduction. I know many would agree that waiting over 2-3 weeks to 1 month on future ages when they come out too will be quite stupid. Not many will wait one month to upgrade one thing.
another idea is a library tech which involves how construction advances so you can add a reduce time bonus and perhaps 1 less citizen.
level 1 10% upgrade/building time reduced
level 2 10% economic building health
level 3 1 less citizen for upgrading buildings
level 4 10% defensive and wall health
level5 10% upgrade/building time reduced
