Should I bother playing without buying/ hacking for crowns?

I'm only in the Bronze Age right now and it takes absolutely forever to wait for a building to be built and upgraded. It takes 14 hours just to get to the Iron Age!!! This really takes me out of the game. I don't want to spend money on crowns. I've heard that there are a lot of hackers out there and it seems the developers aren't doing anything about it. So my question is this: Should I bother playing when I don't buy crowns or hack?

If you are frustrated by 14 hour upgrades then you should probably just let it go now. Upgrades get yp to a week long and will be longer in industrial age.

Play with crown hack for now and if I remember correctly, the airstrip takes about 2 weeks and 1 day. Good luck!

I don't want to use the crown hack because I don't want to get banned. Also, that's cheating. I want to enjoy a game and not cheat.

Short answer is NO. You shouldn't really bother..the long answer is...NO! The game is overrun by hacks and is bugged out. I am currently in the age before Industrial and have been playing for months. Medals were easier to attain and keep ( now I see that they are 1 for the win and -18 for a loss) and even if you don't attack and/or lose..some hacker will come and wipe out a day's raid of medals in ONE swoop. I honestly don't think I would've still been playing had the game been this unbalanced a few months ago.

If you like the game and can spend time on it... just play it like normal. The wait times will go longer as you advance further. If you are not prepared to spend 1 year playing it without paying, then probably you should put it down.

As for the hacking and stuff, there are undesirable things happening every where in the world and in every game. If you let them spoil your fun, they you will always be unhappy.

People can complain that they don't want to play a game because there are hackers, but in reality, no one will go kill themselves just because the world has thieves, burglars, terrorists or even natural disasters. Life just go on.

No..but if the thieves, burglars and terrorists are allowed to run amuck free and clear and do what they want...it does make life suck.

It takes 14 hours just to get to the Iron Age!!!

And it takes 1 week to get to Enlightenment Age. Long and longer build times is a staple of base-building games like this.

Well I guess I'll just have to give up on this game altogether. It's a shame because this game is actually fun. The ridiculous waiting times for buildings and the fact that you have to pay to win/ hack just killed the game for me.

clash of clans, boom beach Domnations etc... All have long build times in the game. This is common. Yes as you progress it takes longer and longer to complete upgrades. If waiting is something you can not do then these types of games are not for you.
