@Ravenlord: Thank you for weighing in 😊 I think I'm going to take your advice and do both. In my EA Base, I'm thinking if switching to Germans and can create a new account and start as British!!

Empire ....you have to ask yourself which play style do you prefer.
I can't deny the power of having that British +1 range. But over time, do you see yourself ever being bored with going to battle with the same rifle troops day in and day out?
On the other hand, with the German troops, you have the versatility to choose any troop combo you like and still enjoy the fury. The fury applies to all troops including gens, mercs, donations and planes. (CS says planes are not affected but when I deploy my planes, I still see the cross axes.)
Not to mention the control and speed boost you get from the German rallies. ( A plus when you face FCs in wars and going for that QV)

I changed from Greek to Germans in early-mid IA. Best 600 crowns I have ever spend.

Yes, BV123. You make a very good point. I think I'm going to go with Germans for my EA Base. Very excited to try them out now after all that I'm hearing. But I think I'll need to get a factory on this base for the HT. I don't use the factory in my IA base.

I didn't know planes get a boost too. That seals the deal!

I play with the British, mid IA, for EA go with Brits you won't fail, range+DPS for archers and you demolish most of the bases without any loses, I started to use heavy tanks so I might go for Germans , but I still didn't made my mined because if you lose one time your army it's about 6k oil...so I still test army composition before I decide...

If you check the airfield, the Fury bonus also shows there. Fury + SoL + tech research, makes for some lethal biplanes.

HTs are not a must to be a German user. It's just a plus point. Although.... the fury and rally boost sure does make the HT an enjoyable unit to use.
My advice.... prioritize the troops that you are using 1st, then go for the HT.

Enjoy 🐮

I wouldn't advise going all out HTs. I have been hit by full HT troops before. Awesome power but they are also very tricky to use. You have to be picky on which type of bases you can hit. Like you mentioned 1 wrong move and you can say bye bye to 6k oil.
I only use 1 or 2 HTs in my troop combo. Very rarely do I loose them.

Can't agree more with Vissor and BV123. But if a clanmate struggle in multiplayer i'll tell him go Brits. It has simpler play style and is ridiculously powerful. Now lots of our clan members switched and nobody has any problem with Brits.

Simpler mix has shorter learning curve, less room for mistakes and allow you to focus only few things that matter. In mixed army each unit has different weak spot and if a part die off the whole army will start to fall.

All armies can die off easily even the British. One arty unit coming out of a tc can decimate your riflemen in 1-3 shots - so while l (and others) have been talking up the riflemen, don't think its just a matter of spawning 100 riflemen and you'll necessarily win. Just to clarify, l use a mixed army in all my nations - l just use a little more of each nation's strength.
ie: my Romans use 3 HTs, Brits use about 20 more archers (work great with my shiny global tanks), Germans will be using 3 Hts, etc. I will always have tanks cos that's just how l roll ...... ahahahahahahaha !!!!!

If you're Greek l imagine you would use more tanks, if you're Korean l imagine you would use more riflemen, if you're French l imagine you'd run away a lot ........ 😆

It really depends on your playing style. If you're into actively controlling your troops and moving them to key areas of the map then the Rally of Germans is great. But if you want to have limited stuff to do once the troops are deployed then the long ranged British Riflemen coupled with tanks and artillery are awesome!

Honestly, I would suggest changing to British for now until u reach Global age, where you unlock those mk3 tanks and other top grade troops which will be the perfect time to change to Germans and use the rally boost and teutonic fury to your advantage. Right now, Germans wont really make a big difference in your gameplay as changing to british will do.

Okay, but I don't want to have to switch again in late IA to the Germans.

That's good advice. I haven't used the HT unit before. My IA base is French, so I don't need the HT from factory. So, here I have to learn to use them well. Will slowly start including HTs in the army. What about normal tanks as Germans?

I also have an army composition that plays to the nation's strengths. Except as Germans I can't use their unique much. But all other troops are better as Germans. So, it's still win-win
