Switching nations in EA: British or Germans?

Hello All,

I have been playing as the Greeks until EA and it is definitely long overdue for a nation change. I was waiting patiently hoping that they will release new nations, but I don't think that's on the cards - especially with the release of the Embassy and Coalitions.

I am thinking of switching nations soon and confused between the British and Germans. Can you please vote and help me out? If you have any additional thoughts on your choice, please share those as well.

I have played as Germans and though their Rally and Teutonic Fury is Great I have more fun and do more damage as British. As a Global Age player I can say that Germans are powerful if you play with a full HT army as my base has been demolished countless times that way by German players.

To be honest, its a tough choice between the two But, I have been told that Germans are unstoppable in the higher ages with their higher DPS for all troops and better control of the battle.

How does Teutonic Fury work? Can I use it in world war? How large its radius? 5 or 10? And how long?

Teutonic fury is a German nation bonus of 15% attack bonus (more damage) after a victory. This applies to all your barrack troops, mercenaries, and even donated troops. I think it also applies to WW attacks. There's no radius as it is not a power you can deploy. It's a boost to all the troops. It lasts as long as you have a victory. So, if you have a string of victories, you will continue to have the fury bonus.

Yes, Sir. Once those anti tank guns are offline, it's a done deal. They usually just run HTs with planes, to cover 'em. 15% boost on attack + the added speed gained from the German rally... lights out.

The Teutonic Fury is special to the Germans only. This is an automatic buff that strengthens your Troops which is awesome with those HT. Their foot soldiers are already awesome with the damage they do but even better with the automatic buff.

The last matchup I was attacked with was 5 HT, 15 of their Foot Soldiers (to clean up), a Zeppelin and 2 Planes. Wiped me out quick.

Ravenlord - I do have Versailles and have completed the library researches for lowering rally cool down.

In Global you also get to research a 15% speed bonus for HTs. Woo Hoo!!

Don't forget the Brits - the riflemen are pretty lethal, not to mention ''untouchable'' with their extra range .....

Seems your choices are ''in your face-brute force'' with the HTs - or ''kill you from a distance with style and finesse'' with the British riflemen ....

I know! It is not an easy choice to make between the Brits and Germans. Which nation do you prefer using?

Aww maaan!! Don't make me choose. The brits are so easy to win with even when l was at 2700-2800. But I've always been a tank man - ever since l was a boy. Both styles appeal to me so I'll say this: if you want to win reasonably easy with minimal supervision, get the brits. If you like being in the action and get satisfaction from bulldozing your opponents, get the Germans.

Empire ....you have to ask yourself which play style do you prefer.
I can't deny the power of having that British +1 range. But over time, do you see yourself ever being bored with going to battle with the same rifle troops day in and day out?
On the other hand, with the German troops, you have the versatility to choose any troop combo you like and still enjoy the fury. The fury applies to all troops including gens, mercs, donations and planes. (CS says planes are not affected but when I deploy my planes, I still see the cross axes.)
Not to mention the control and speed boost you get from the German rallies. ( A plus when you face FCs in wars and going for that QV)

I changed from Greek to Germans in early-mid IA. Best 600 crowns I have ever spend.
