Switching nations in EA: British or Germans?

I like to have control over how my army moves as some units tend to wander off and get killed.

To be honest, l doubt my Germans will need HTs specifically. I use HTs with my Romans & I'm just curious to see if the german quicker rally and teutonic boost works any better with HTs - despite my troop space being smaller. .... I'll find out in about 6 days.

That's good advice. I haven't used the HT unit before. My IA base is French, so I don't need the HT from factory. So, here I have to learn to use them well. Will slowly start including HTs in the army. What about normal tanks as Germans?

Well... as it stands for now, Tanks and HTs are rank as follows:
#6 - German tanks with their 15% fury
#5 - Greek tanks
#4 - French tanks
#3 - Greek or French tanks donated to German users with fury.
#2 - Heavy tanks
#1 - German heavy tanks with their 15% fury

Some would debate on the ranking, but that is how I see it.

Although....I can easily see #3 being #1 if I want to consider troop space too.

Having used both, I would rank French tanks over Greek tanks. Greek tanks have a larger attack bonus, but in this game (if not in real life) that's not really what you want out of your tanks. The larger HP bonus from French tanks makes them better at, well, tanking.

I agree, Magnifico. French tanks are awesome! How many French tanks do/did you use in IA? I use 4 French tanks atm.

I didn't switch to French until Global Age because I am a very slow learner. I use 5 tanks in my army. That's probably too many -- I think real power players use fewer so they can bring more howitzers -- but it works for me.

Hey, is it true the French tanks go faster backwards??! Oh no wait, that's the Romans. I think the French tanks have bigger fuel tanks so they can run away further, oui??!

Okay, I don't think 5 tanks is too much. I'm doing good with 4 tanks though and carry 4 artillery. We should use what works for us

Why not 5 french tanks?? If I were french I would be so bold as to say I would use even more then just 5.

I would go 6 french tanks and 5 arts. I may loose a few tanks here and there, no big deal.
Although I very rarely loose my HT, the retraining time after loosing one to a raid does spoil the mood for me. =(
