Switching nations in EA: British or Germans?

I use 4 tanks 1 HT and 5 arts or 3 tanks 2 HT and 4 arts...

Which nation are you, BV123?

Although I very rarely loose my HT, the retraining time after loosing one to a raid does spoil the mood for me. =(

Totally off topic, but on the topic of tanks: What are the advantages of a HT over a tank, or over a Greek or French tank? I haven't used them yet myself.

HT vs regular tanks
Pros:
-HT has better survival rate. They can really take hits.
-HT have awesome dps
-HT have splash once researched in lib. So multiple defender are not so much an issue.
-HT do not go straight for defences. Stays with the main group. (Pro for some...con for others)

Cons:
-HT slower than tanks
-HT take up 150 or 140% more troop space.
-HT uses oil to build and the lead time sucks.

But if you compare HTs against French or Greek IA/GA tanks, the 2 later ones are better. Pound for pound, they are stronger, cheaper and shorter lead time. Rarely you will see the French or Greeks use HTs.

You don't have to change to Germans if you don't want to empire. The French are a great nation too. You don't need to spend oil on HTs.

Change only if you strongly feel that it suits your play style to the T.

I already switched to Germans. I will continue as Germans I'm already in IA as French on my other account. Enjoying them as well

HT has splash and has good damage against tank themselves so you don't have to call in air force! But ignore them and other factory units will save huge amount of resource!

Count me in the German group. As an early Global Age I only very rarely get 5 starred. And only by the German 5 Heavy Tank with air support.

If you do switch to Germans, i recommend leveling up American Coalition and using it in wars as it will also help your planes and HT. Then if you have Brandenburg that is an additional boost to the factory troops can be quite deadly. We had 2 of our big hitters switch to Germans and they are loving it.
