Troop Suicide...

Nexon/BHG,

Okay, enough with the poor AI. It's clear that some decisions you are making about troop AI are specifically intended to kill our troops.

(E.g. biplanes extending route to look for death, zeppelins taking the longest possible route and flying over towers and air defense, ignored rally commands, poor wall decisions, infantry and archers seeking out mortar death zones, generals running up to anti-tank guns...)

While I get that you want us to spend $ to rebuild troops, many of us can't do that, and long troop rebuilds are driving people away from the game. It's also just frustrating to watch troops make incomprehensible decisions while waiting for the next rally.

So very true... Nothing like seeing your troop trying to break holes in walls at 5 different spots. Or after they do break that hole in the wall the dude next to the hole keeps trying to make another hole.

It seems to me that the argument of Troop AI needing buff gets less convincing to me the more these threads pop up; nevertheless, there can be some AI changes. For example, I would like for a small group to be affected by rally, and not the whole army. To me, most of these problems could be solved by playing around these defenses. But that's just me.

Yep true indeed and i also belive they have coded delibarte crashes in game to force people to spend crowns to redo thier troops.

The game has been like this for as long as ive played and thats over a year. Safe to say im not playing as much anymore ans my money is going to COC and other professional defense games.

This nexon ans bhg are greedy developers imo, I smell big fat donuts throughout nexons and bhgs office.

Hi Froggykilla,

Thanks for responding.

You've made some good posts, so I don't mean to be critical or offensive, but the only way troop AI will improve is if we demand improvements on this forum. Unfortunately my statement is accurate. The devs have made many decisions that have made our troops weaker and less effective, in order to ensure that most troops don't return from battle. They have also slowed troop rebuilding by nerfing the tb. The reason is clear, which is to encourage those who are willing and able to buy crowns to pay for fast troop re-training.

I agree that enhancing the rally command would be helpful. I've posted about that subject elsewhere, as have others. Personally, I'd suggest a separate rally command for each troop, which would change the nature of the battles from an 'oh sh*t, everyone run away' strategy to an effective battle strategy.

The biplane one kills me. The thing flies all over the place, no where near its initial target. Mine never survive anymore because or their idiotic and erratic flight patterns.

The zeppelin I can manage. It flies in from the closest edige, does its thing, and flies out. But the biplane is too unpredictable/unusable. I wouldn't mind if the training blessing impacted airstrip units, but it doesn't, so losing that biplane is a pain in the ass.

None taken. Don't get me wrong, I want these AI changes to occur, but if it's going to change the targeting that a troop type takes, that's where I put my foot down.

Are you sure the building you wanted to attack was closest to ''that'' edge of the forest? I attacked a base today that was built right up against two forest walls - ie: in the corner of the map. This was brilliant and slightly confusing as to which canon was closer for my planes. Needless to say, if I hadn't deployed a sabotage at the last minute I would've lost my planes.

Maybe that was the case with your attack - perhaps the closest-edge forest was uncertain?
