Building suggestions:

* Temple upgrade at some point to Cathedral. This is really more of an art/name upgrade than anything
* Recycling Center - Once per (x) hours, convert (y) food into (z) gold

Mechanics suggestion:
* Introduce a Happiness mechanic. Let's face it, this game wants to be the love child of Clash of Clans and Civilization-- let's borrow more from the game we want it to be like. You can have buildings (parks, arenas/stadiums, circus) that permanently increase the base line of happiness or research "policies" (think non-combat tactics) at the town hall for short-term boosts. The benefits of happiness are shorter construction times.

Wonder suggestion:
* United Nations - Allows you to impose sanctions against a rival nation (example: Romans) and may be changed once every 24 hours. Attackers from this rival nation suffer a damage penalty.

With the current Ai.... I doubt that...

I also plea not to have them all back, but if all of a group survive, the group should be returned.

So a group of cavalry, all of them should survive, if one of them dies, they dont return

And elephants, they are though, but they also are very very slow and they do ot always survive.

Also they could keep their damage imo, so they get weaker every time you use them

Building suggestions:

Wonder suggestion:
* Auschwitz (or Guantanamo Bay, or whatever) - Allows you to select a 'hated' nation once every 24 hours.. Attackers against you from your hated nation suffer a damage penalty.

It's the very first time I had to reread a post 10 times....

Although I think it is good to remember Auschwitz, but lets remember it for the inhumanly focked up place it was and keep it out of a game environment...

As for guantanamo bay.... well history sadly repeats itself... torturing humans without trial....O that is what they also did in Auschwitz 70 years ago....!

So I reject the wonder Idea of OMGCatTreatz !

The way I see it is that you pay a mercenary to assist you in a battle, once the battle is over so is the mercenary, no loyalty from them.
How about adding a research of "loyalty" or something like that at the library to gain this longer term support?
Maybe for 2 or 3 battles?
Or you can't add more mercenaries until the current ones are all dead?

If you really want to get back at a nation (I'm thinking TD here...) you could rather poison their crops which affects their mills, etc. Or you could have one of your farms with GM crops, which poisons your attackers loot if not consumed/spent within a particular time.

It's more sensitive to the reality of inhumane behaviour as well. We play the game to escape reality (to a point).

Well, I was aiming for a WW2-era concept, but if that's still too sensitive, I understand. How about "* United Nations - Allows you to impose sanctions against a rival nation (example: Romans) and may be changed once every 24 hours. Attackers from this rival nation suffer a damage penalty."

There is a difference between war and killing civilians on mass scale

It has nothing to do with subjects being sensitive, Its just common sense, dignity and respect.

Out of curiosity, conceptually what do you think of implementing "atrocities" like they had in Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri (Nerve-stapling your own citizens to stop riots or using nerve gas on enemies, for example)? Enormous short-term benefit, but with long lasting detriments against the player (economically or militarily)?

The main dislike about some building is the cost. The pace at which most are escalating from age to age is a little too much, specially when you consider how hard it is to get resources during lower ages. It would be nice to have a trading post. Where you can trade resources and trade goods with your alliance. It can be managed to maybe 1 trade a day so no one can abuse it. I also think it's about time the French, German and British buildings be distinguishable. These nations are rare but it would be nice to be able to tell them apart, which I can't do when I see screen shots or random videos.

I second this notion. I've been hoping they add a feature where we can load multiple base layouts. It would be able to keep a layout for when you go on vacation and one which you active use.

I really think that every game developer has to find his balance between a good playable game and and interesting game concept.

But there is another aspect which every developer has to take into consideration, and that is his audience, just like the movies.
There are also a whole lot of kids playing games.
And don't forget that there is a world out there of less educated people...... :-(

So I'm fine with a game concept which teaches the user some history and have a good game to go with.
I personally do not like the games that put hate/crime/inhuman activities or such in it, just to sell a game cause the content is controversial.

On this focked up planet there are things to be proud of as humans, and there way more things to be ashamed of.
Let try to make games on which we can be proud of.....

To answer your question, there is probably a very good reason why I do not play Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, again anything in a fantasy game concept, go ahead.

Now I would have no problem with a WW2 concept, but in this war game I really don't think a nazi death camp should have its place.

But let's leave it with that.

It's nothing personal to me, nor to you, I guess. I just thought the idea was....well, not so well though of.

Problems- peace treaties don't work properly, IA troops are still being used, attack AI is turrible, still see bases with too many buildings, village swap is still happening, CS is still not helpful, forum moderation is barely existent. Get these fixed first
