I'm happy with how quickly and efficiently this issue was resolved. The compensation was nice as well.

In place of the Winter Festival Event, we will be running an version of Charlemagne's Elephant. Additionally, we are extending the Cold War Supply drop until 15:00 UTC on 12/28.

Persia , I agree with Festivus. This is a business.
The players have a choice to pay or play. Nexon is not forcing anyone to pay in order to progress.
You are angry with the company when other players use paid troops. Are you also happy with the company for allowing you to play this game for free for the last 2 yrs?

It's not about any damage to the game, in fact YOU were the one who made reference to ''damage''.
The point was about compensation going to those who already had the fortune of being exposed to the exploit in the first place.

Ok, I reread GeeGee’s posts and his issue would be compensation for those that directly experienced the bug (which gave them free gifts). I agree with that, they should not be compensated due to the nature of this particular bug. My mistake for mis-reading your post.

Ok, TinSoldier I have a related concern ...

So, yesterday I queried the definition of the reported “compensation” that was to be provided to people affected by the unfortunate Event glitch. In point of fact, I ventured even further and posited the view that if the compensation only applied to those who had lost their ‘Magic Chests’ and Workshop, I would be peeved. Well, low and behold I am blinking peeved this morning [certain expletives may also apply].

For those in my Alliance who received the Magic Chests, not only are they keeping their wonderful Troopy Troop Freebies, they also received an in-game Inbox message alerting them to compensation etc. I won’t ‘go there’ with the freebies issue, it is what it is...but I am annoyed that I’m being treated like some sort of ‘second class’ customer in all this. I had no Inbox message regarding compensation and still don’t btw. So perhaps the Charlemagne Event that colleagues were alerted to last night (other time zones will naturally apply) won’t apply to me? Yes, yes...I know I’m stretching the point, but I hope you can see where I’m coming from.

I must confess that I woke up this morning to find three CWA crates. Perhaps those were my ‘compensation’. However on opening I found them to contain the rather abundant reward of NTGs and food. Hardly the definition of ‘compensation’ enjoyed by those who lost their Magic Chests and Workshop...namely - more flipping Troop Cards (ARL Tanks). Hey ho...c’est la vie I guess.

Anyway, I’d love to hear from you TinSoldier [climbs back into bunker, pulls the lid down and waits for anything ‘incoming’]😀

I didn't realize there even was a bug, just opened one chest, claimed and built the workshop, and opened a present from it. It gave me the compensation, I guess they did it for anyone who had made any progress at all on the event.

I'm a little peeved that the chests I actually paid crowns and rubies for only gave out the reward from the present workshop instead of what the chest said it would actually contain. Given that I got several free troops from the bug, it's not a big deal, but I feel bad for those who got 15 'gargantuan' gold shipments as 'compensation' for potentially thousands of crowns spent on real chests, and did not benefit from the bug.

Like you, I find the ‘cookie cutter’ responses from CS to be sort of annoying, but this is an issue as far as I’m concerned. Whilst I respect all those who managed to enjoy the freebie Troop Cards from the aborted Event, it is nonetheless galling to find nothing for us who ‘missed out’ for whatever reason.

What also annoys me is the inconsistency of approach from Nexon. Take the recent ‘soft’ bans for using animal blessings! Why is it acceptable to ban people for innocently using something provided by Nexon, and yet permit people enjoying ‘Magic Chests’? I have no idea🤷🏻‍♂️

Sorry but I find this whole bug theory a little absurd. For some reasons I am finding it very hard to believe that it was because of some bug that they took down the whole winter festival event. I mean has anyone ever seen an event building that lasts for more than 7 days? I have been playing this game for a while now and I have never seen any event building last for more than 7 days. Also in every event the event building is at the end of the reward steps here it was at the beginning, the very first step. Why would they do unless they plan to take it down saying some bug has affected the event coz if they would have put it at the end and people collected all the other 4 rewards and then collected the presents workshop then they would have to fix it and give it back. Now they have announced a compensation and a regular event and that's it. Consider the following points guys

To complete the event you need 35 mystery boxes. Marco polo this time had a mystery box which costed 300 rubies. Even if I consider it I don't think anyone will have over a 10000 rubies to complete the event. So you need crowns and crowns come for a cost.

Secondly we now have two sets of players. One who purchased the mystery boxes and got the so called infinite chest bug and opened those to find one troop card and one blessing.. Lol.. And second set of players who missed the event because it started and stopped within an hour or so. So the result is one set has mixed feelings because they got something and other set is upset because some players got lucky. So ultimately it's players vs players and nobody is questioning the game guys.

Those who didn't get to start the event I can tell you one thing you would have never realized it could be a bug because none of us has ever got a presents workshop before which gives mystery gifts. We did get confused as to what was happening but thought it's the mystery boxes.

Also I am not sure how many of you are seeing no troop cards as daily dock bonus or in victory chest reward for the past few days. I haven't seen a single troop card in either for quite some days now. So it could be a possibility that they just distributed those troop cards as a part of the bug thing.

Finally if I don't see the workshop again I will be very convinced that this whole bug theory was created and that it aimed towards making people buy the crowns. Compensating a 325 day workshop with a regular event and some food boxes is kind of ridiculous. If it was actually a bug then why not fix it and put it back again. That will clear all the doubts and perhaps no one would be upset too.

I think that the workshop was never intended to last 365 days. It was supposed to last 7 days, but it would expire (newly introduced feature in 6.0) in 365 days. I guess devs mixed those two values and that's how the bug was created.
