v5.8 ‘Combat Intel’ update is Out Now!


World War Replays
  • Out of beta! Thanks for all the testing and feedback!
  • World War replays allow both Alliances to watch the best attack made against each base.
  • Observe your allies (as well as your enemies) in action!
Replay Sharing (Coming Soon!)
  • Share replays of your favorite multiplayer attacks and defenses with members of your Alliance!
Missile Silo
  • Defend your Global Age and Atomic Age base with the powerful Missile Silo!
  • After an attacker places enough troops to be considered a threat, the Missile Silo will fire - and will target the largest cluster of troops with the highest value of hitpoints for the rest of the battle. Missiles from the silo will damage all troops clustered together.
  • The Missile Silo can target nearly anywhere on the map!
Emperor Moctezuma
  • Research Emperor Moctezuma’s skill tree at the University to improve your resource gathering economy!
  • Harness the power of his Capstone, Triple Alliance, which provides 1 additional random National Trade Good whenever you gain at least 1 National Trade Good from battle.
Balance Changes
  • League Boats, Victory Chests, and Video Rewards can possibly include:
    • Troop Tactics
    • Tactics
    • Blessings
    • Trade Good and National Trade Good Shipments
    • Mercenary Contracts
    • Recruits
  • Decoy tactic no longer gives a movement speed bonus to affected defenders.
  • The Trap Blessing now has one of its uses consumed if any traps are tripped. Previously needed 10% or more total damage dealt.
  • Spoils of War Ch. 1 was changed back to apply only to resources.
  • Fixed a bug where Redoubts didn’t immediately start attacking troops that were standing at the building’s maximum range
  • All levels of the Armored Car Troop Tactic will have their Hitpoints and Damage match the Armored Car built from the Factory.
Other Improvements
  • Buildings bought from deals now go to your inventory.
Performance Improvements
  • Game components are bundled differently for faster download and smaller footprint
Bug Fixes and Improvements
  • Fixed an issue when looking for Alliance Crests
  • Updated all Troop Tactics to appear unique in the troop tray and Stronghold
  • Ballistics Library tech now calculates the correct unit space cost when donating Ranged Siege and Supply Wagon troops during War
  • Multiplayer replays were corrected to show National Trade Goods earned
  • Fixed a University bug where the chance to earn National Trade Goods was being miscalculated
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the Library shelf from scrolling to the left
  • Fixed a visual bug where it appeared that you could donate Troop Tactics during World War even after a player’s Stronghold was full

Trap blessing will get used if even one trap is triggered now. That is a terrible change, and adds insult to TH raiding injury. A hit on the oil well is only 4% or so for me; right now, that means my Sams and traps remain there if the only attacks are oil raids. Now, they will be gone after the 3rd or 4th attack, inviting many more.

What is the reasoning behind this change? It is already a high cost blessing, now the return on investment will be diminished significantly - instead of being used up on resetting a high percentage of my traps, it will go away for a few 1000 gold here and there.

I hope the decoy change (not rushing defense troops) has something to do with fixing the lag. That would be a big positive.

I would rather get crowns out of video rewards then anything. Mercenary contracts and trade good shipments are always a disappointment. Hopefully adding more options doesn't change that balance away from crowns too much. More choices in the other places could be good or bad, depends on what level of various options are on offer.

Sounds like the other changes (redoubt change, missile silo) are rebalancing defense over offense. We'll see by how much over time. But as it becomes easier to lose troops, retraining times need to be shortened, or the net result is people playing less.

How about the Generals spawning after fort destruction? You announced the feature in August State of the Nations as part of 5.8 update:

Lastly, we’re going to change how the Castle handles garrisoned Generals when it is destroyed. Instead of being lost, any Generals remaining inside of the Castle will be released onto the battlefield which is similar to how the Stronghold functions with donated Troop Tactics in World War. However, unlike the Stronghold, the Generals are injured in the destruction of the Castle and will appear with less than 100% hitpoints.

But it is not in today’s post. Postponed?

So decoys issue on Android devices won't be fixed, and you'll add missile silo while it'll caused to force us use more decoys! so ridiculous! are you guys lost your minds?

And by trap blessing change you'll just make it useless as it has high cost (8 fur & 8 leather) ! diminish it's cost or increase its cost of trap consuming to 2 or 3! just by used 1 trap is really ridiculous! then there will be no longer any difference between a tough base or easy one! only those who have maxed fur & leather will used any more...

is this the update notes? cuz u gotta be kidding if there are no fixes for the inaccessible bases issue that's being abused in WW, or fix for raiders issue not focusing resource buildings when dropped from tactical helicopter

why r u completely ignoring such serious issues like that

Agree with other players on the trap blessing. With 10% trigger, it was never broken, but now it is. Its saving grace has always been the fact that it can protect you from repeated raiders who don't activate your treaty. Going to become another useless blessing, along with gathering, and animal blessings.

PLS change back traps blessings to how it was before!! when the bug was fixed awhile back on them, it has been perfect with no issues!

Don't mess with the trap blessing. It's expensive enough without it being triggered by as little as one trap under 10%.

What happens if you get hit by medal dumpers who might just happen to deploy on a trap or a few raiders and you get a few of them in succession? By the time someone comes along to hit your base proper you'll have no traps left active.

Massive thanks TinSoldier for listening to the feedback on farms and caravans. The permanent 40% production boost along with the university upgrades that will provide an additional 50% are exactly what was needed. They are definitely worth upgrading again, at least once I get to that point in the university tree. Keep up the good work.

Don't put traps on the outside. Easy solution. I'm fine with the change. Even if the trap blessing only rearms 5 traps in total in 3 attacks, that's still a decent chunk of gold saved. In the best case scenario, that's 600k+ gold saved. Worth it.
