While I agree with all of you that this is way too expensive, I don't think this unbalances the FTP and PTP players. It's not a defensive/offensive building. It allows you to progress faster, but once you get there you are no more powerful than someone who progresses slower. The starter packs did the same thing. You got extra workers who helped you progress faster.

U could say that if it was a matter of +2 workers, now it's a +5 workers for PTP players
"once u get there you are no more powerful" oh yea get there... Like 5 years to finish university upgrades, probably u mean "once ur grandchildren complete what u have started" lol, ridiculous

I'm not buying the estate and I understand the frustration. I'm merely saying this is nothing new. What the estate gets you is quicker upgrade. There have always been ways to upgrade quicker in this game. Whether it was by getting the starter packs which gave you extra people for a certain number of ages or simply buying crowns and crowning buildings.

And having those houses earlier helped you progress faster. You will still be fighting people of the same level. People who want to pay will simply be moving through the game faster than you.

I think you're completely right there, they'll release broken and half assed content then close up shop.

2 weeks from now they will have a sale for $20 and make everyone who bought it now look really stupid. That's how it usually works.

The Huns u r right but, the percentage of players who can crown their upgrades to the max is not the same as who buy starter pack or the estate, thr latter is much bigger
So instead of giving the advantage to like 0.5-1% of players ur giving it for like 30-40% which is going to split the game into 2 layers where premium players can eat up free players
Am not complaining because they r giving premium players an advantage since all other games do the same, am complaining because this advantage became too huge to disturb game play.
Previously when it was just buildings and library i could accept that cuz yea it's pretty reasonable time till i get both at decent level even if am not paying cash
But now since university upgrade, i know they gonna have something that i'll probably never have which is much higher lvl of university upgrades which are really game changer

Starter Packs were $20. Now, I ain't no math wiz er'nuttin' but that works out to roughly....uh...$10/worker.

Now...students...if each worker costs $10, how many dollars would 3 workers cost?

Probably just setting the 'retail cost' high so that any opportunity to purchase at a lower cost will feel like a 'discount'. Dats bid-niss

This feels like price gauging and a breaking of trust by Nexon. It discourages me from wanting to play more.

The starter packs also came with crowns, so the real cost per worker is less than that.

The issue with the estate is first of all that there's no crown option. I don't care if it would cost 500 crowns or 2000, it should be possible to obtain through play. If not, this is blatant P2W. I mean, the game was always somewhat P2W, but this time the line was really crossed.

My Gunpowder Estate is £45.99 but my Global one is only! £39.99

And the top players have already bought theirs, dunno why when they are already Level 198 and everything looks maxed out. They have completed sniper towers and fully upgraded dock too.

Not even a month ago Tim stated no plans for pay only buildings.
The Estate should be valued using crowns. Period.

if anything they need to get more people higher up to keep the top players happily playing.
More costs, less players continue to the top. Top players leave. Game dies.

Bought with cash and upgraded with crowns I suppose. Go take a look at Steini's base, Chinese bloke in #4 appears to have stuck his estate in the wall

Steini is a cheater. After each update comes out he is instantly maxed. Most other players on top too.
