How does APC works. Mine is not working right

Per the description it says that apc continuously deploy footies. In my case 3 in the first 3 seconds and every 8 seconds. I noticed that mine spit out the first 6 just fine and then only 2 would come out more and if there’s no defensive buildings around then the purple bar stay full and not deploying any more troops. A 2 minute battle should yield about 45 footies plus the first 3 equal 48. I deploy 2 apc by the end of the 2 mins battle without loosing any troops I should have about 100 footies. I’m no where near even half that.

What give? Did I miss any explanation on the updates?

Sorry to say but it’s not an infinite amount, the cap is 6 infantry total per apc (I believe) and once you have 6 deployed it will stop spewing out until one dies. The full purple bar shows that you have troops ready to deploy once some of your infantry are killed.

I think that's the normal response from everyone the first time they use APC. Im pretty sure I thought the same thing but once you start using them, you find that they are very strong. The heavy infantry have the highest dps in the game. There's a reason you see so many stronger players use them later game. I didn't compliment them at first with the right troops and I found that I was getting killed on my attacks. After some experimenting and really just watching videos on attacks, you get used to how they work. It always seems like you lose a lot of troops (Which you can) but the units that spawn out of there don't count as loss. You don't have to but being german really helps out APC's as the units that spawn out gain teuctonic fury.

Raiding aside, I generally use apcs for my war attacks only unless I'm purposely hunting down ntg. I use 3 corner attack because 4 corners is too stressful for me. I can't say if this is standard but it works for me. I take 4 apcs, 7 bazookas, 5 howls, around 20 shooters and 1 tac heli or wall breakers mix when needed. Just equal drop on 2 corners and mercs/generals on the 3rd. The shooters are there to shoot at other ranged defense as well as enemy infantry as they are the weakness of heavy infantry. But mostly the shooters are there to give the apc time to spawn troops. While the apc has range, it's short so it gets taken down quickly. Once they troops are spawned they will run ahead of the ranged shooters and thus you got a nice shield. I've seen people use no shooters which can also work but it needs decoys and planes to manage well which I'm not always the best at. It's all about adjustments but I would always start with some shooters and once you get used to how the APC's work you can take away. I've also tried using like 10 APCS which sounds like a good idea but it wot work against a decent base. It is fun though. You also want to upgrade your heavy infantry in armory if you haven't and are going to use APC's. The units that spawn from the them are whatever you have researched in armory. There are also museum artifacts that adds to heavy infantry hp and dmg (For MP).

i've never had the hang of APC use; they seem less useful than 12 infantry that you can selectively deploy.
but that's probably a style thing.

quite the opposite; i was german with 10/10 upgraded infantry, and have since changed to french but still use infantry offensively.
i find them very useful for selectively picking off towers that would otherwise torment my fighter airplanes.

Those 12 infantry die and never return. The infantry from the APC is replenished as long as the APC is still alive. You need to use multiple APCs for them to be effective because of the 6 max. With each APC you add 6 regenerated troops to your army. As @sieepuppe said they act as a shield for your troops dying in their place and then replenshed and back fighting again. I’m guessing if you don’t find them useful then you either only used 1 or your infantry aren’t upgraded. And most likely you are a nation other than German.

Towers are easily taken out with fighters, but you have to know how to use the fighters. Don't send fighters in one at a time, send them off in two's or three's.
FYI, 2 CW planes can take out any tower in a single run.

They bunch together near the apc so I assume it’s probably about 35-40 troops between the 2 apc I deployed I was so wrong. Well it is what it is.
