IA Armory Upgrade Discount

Given the event and the amount of savings, makes sense to try to get most expensive Armory upgrades in (tanks vs artillery for me) As British, I find that my currasiers are no longer sufficient to survive as meat shields in early-mid industrial but also artillery is the backbone of my army. Any suggestions for upgrade order between the two? Also how are y'all making use of this discount this weekend?

I suggest you get the tanks 1st. Then the art. No particular reason. Just the way I would do it.

The 2nd part of your question.... Nothing. Got nothing on discount that I have left to upgrade unless I go global. =(

Agree with BV, as for me it was perfect timing to get my global tanks before the mills finished upgrading, hopefully there will be enough time for me to get the merc camp for cheap too

Riflemen, if you haven't already done so, then arties. Stronger rifles can better protect your other troops incl curraisers. But, speaking as a dedicated tank man, you need to get them at some point.

Pick the one the has the best roi .....

But for this event.... you might want to go with the upgrade which gives you the most discount. Which is either the tank or art. I would lean more towards the tanks cause the upgrade from HC to tanks is a big game changer. That is my most humble opinion.

I'd say go for one that'll be your most effective weapon after the upgrade. Diff'rent strokes .....

Thanks guys for all the thoughts and tips - relatively same discount. Ended up going with tanks as I agree it's a much bigger jump from HC. Hopefully I'll get to upgrade the arty soon too

Probably because they take 10 troop spaces, not 6 - still use HC AI, so they clippitty clop up to the front door before letting off a shot.

If you compare pound for pound there is not much difference between HCs and tanks but we have already discussed this at length before. Tanks destroy and survive better.
